The question I get most from small business owners: "How do I know if my WordPress site is secure?" Short answer: You probably don't unless someone is actively checking it. That's literally what I do. Happy to do a free, quick audit if you're unsure. Drop a 🙋 below or DM me.

A small business owner reached out to me last month. WordPress site not updated in 14 months. 3 plugins with known security vulnerabilities. No backups running. They didn't know because they were busy running their business. Don't let this be you. Get peace of mind for $150/mo

The simplest SEO tip I give every client: Put your main keyword in: - The page title - The first paragraph - One subheading (H2) - The meta description - The URL slug That alone puts you ahead of 70% of existing blogs. However, don't stuff keywords; Google will penalize you.

If your business blog has 0 traffic, you're likely writing for yourself, not Google. Before writing any post, search the topic yourself. → Are there real results for it? → What questions are people asking? → Can you cover the topic better than what's already ranking?

@ashoKumar89 Production is where "our users wouldn't do that" meets "1k users did do that". Production can produce edge cases you never thought of or that shouldnt be possible. This is why I love iterative development. Let real users "break" your app so you know what to fix/add/remove/etc

A system that works in staging is not proof. Production adds things you did not test for: - real traffic patterns - unpredictable user behavior - partial failures - resource contention Production is the real benchmark.

Unpopular opinion: Most small business owners don't have a marketing problem but a website reliability problem. A slow, broken, or outdated site quietly kills conversions before your ads even get a chance. Fix the foundation first. #SmallBusiness #ContentMarketing

3 common WordPress security mistakes small business owners make all the time: - Using "admin" as the username - Never updating plugins - Weak passwords reused from other accounts Your website is your storefront, so protect it like one. Which of these are you currently making?

Hello @CashmanOnSol, I saw you need someone to build a stat-tracking page that tracks leaderboard data for Solpump, shows social links, and maybe displays other profile/portfolio info for a Solana platform. DM me if this is what you need.

@Dweldonb @AlexFinn Since you are moving from WordPress, a solution like Shopify or a fully custom Laravel platform would work well for you. There are other options, though none I like as much as these two. If you want to discuss them or throw some ideas around, feel free to drop me a DM.

@AlexFinn I’m trying to add ecommerce to our independent shoe store (bought last year) and move the old Wordpress site to something more modern. Would your academy help me with that?

@bluehost ha, i have been with them for over 20 years, three companies on there... i cannot believe this, they sell me on wordpress, i develop a site that works perfectly and when i transfer it to a new directory, it fails. No one there can help and it's not being escalated. And it's a business site.

If you run a small business, you probably don't need a full-time developer. You need someone who: - Keeps your site updated - Writes SEO content that brings in traffic - Fixes things before they become problems That's what I do as a Technical VA. va.kengitahi.com

@natmiletic Sometimes the simplest and boring solution works best. Monthly updates might not always protect you from zero days, but they will keep out hacks from known vulnerabilities. And for your sanity, learn how to harden your WP site against typical attacks like xmrp exploits.

WordPress security plugins don't stop attacks. Keeping your stuff updated and investing in good hosting does. Wordfence is fine. But if you're running outdated plugins, you're leaving the back door open while guarding the front. Attackers scan for known vulnerabilities in old versions. They have automated tools that do this at scale. Update everything at least monthly and invest in good quality hosting. It's boring and it works.
