Really enjoyed watching Ecuador there. Totally won the physical battle against a Germany team who never looked like they fancied it. Ecuador are a proper team, well worthy of their place in the L32, and no-one will want to play them in the knock-outs.

It was the British empire, England and scotland together, the revolutionary war was against Britain, not England. I now understand the American dream.
I came to the World Cup because I was offered a last minute ticket to watch England play Croatia in Dallas and I started documenting my journey.
The content went viral on social media. So much so, the President of the United States saw it himself.
I was invited to attend the grand opening of the great American state fair for freedom 250 and halfway through Donald Trumps speech, I was told to come and wait back stage for a photograph.
This sort of thing could only happen in America.
As an Englishman I never really understood what America has to make it “the land of opportunity”
But results speak for themselves.

Some reaction to this. Bostonians, me included, are not anti-English. But we are anti-idiotic behaviour. Sources in the pub trade and in the police have said that a small number of English fans did cause trouble and had plans for more on Tuesday. They ruined it for everyone else.

The English caused no issues in Boston nor wanted to so to suggest otherwise, like stereotyping the Irish or Scots or Welsh without good reason is, frankly, wrong. I've been to both England games with both attended by up to 50,000 England fans, and to a man and woman they've done zero wrong. Being a proud Irishman need not make you an anti Englishman for the sake of it. From a pro 32 county Englishman.

The last time there was trouble with England fans abroad there was also trouble with Scotland fans. Neither has happened for nearly 25 years mainly through banning orders etc and Scotland not qualifying (so we don’t know from their end)
The main trouble reported in the uk at the football over the last ten years have all happened in Scotland but don’t let the facts ruin a good story on twitter.
