🇩🇪 Four Syrian brothers have been jailed in Germany for luring their teacher to a parking lot and stabbing him multiple times in the lung, neck, and back, in the belief that he was having an affair with their mother. After a lengthy trial, the defendants, aged between 17 and 21 at the time of the attack, were found guilty of attempted murder and handed prison sentences ranging from four to seven and a half years. The court heard how one of the brothers lured their teacher to the parking lot of the Wedel Adult Education Center in Schleswig-Holstein, claiming his other brother needed help with a project. Once there, he had his neck slashed from behind by a third brother, while another acted as a lookout. He was then stabbed several times in the neck and torso, but narrowly survived. The teacher had spent several years working with refugees, teaching them German, and had previously taught both parents of the defendants. The sentences remain subject to appeal.
