@MerrynSW Most of the summer homes are family owned and passed from generation to generation. The main home is often modest. Great model if you get on with your siblings! The holiday home is not a source of wealth that can be used for retirement income.

@neilbage I totally agree Neil. Meetings with Paul as inspirational. Paul Etheridge gave so much to the industry with the software that he designed and used for his own clients. Much more than that, he also shared best practice that he used to raise standards. A real gentleman.

More sad news! I spent a lot of time with Paul during my Skandia days working alongside @mac29_09. He was always respectful, polite, generous with his time and wisdom, and determined to make financial planning better for both advisers and clients. A sad loss. 💔
