@autumn_inkblood @mermaidwrites Grammarly actually has that, I think it even allows you to playback the writing of it, and it also will track what you copy and paste into the document, and often where you pasted it from.

@mermaidwrites I just wrote a post about how I think human-creation verification tools will come to market. Basically tech that records how long you worked on something, how many times you saved your manuscript, the dates of work, etc.

This is why AI detectors WILL NEVER WORK. This was my writing, handwritten by me ON MY OWN without the help of any LLM. I ran it through Winston and Pangram (two leading AI checkers) and here are the very different results. Don't be fooled. AI Checkers don't find real AI at all.

You could make a series of sweet open world RPG’s set in biblical Israel following different biblical characters. Play as Caleb fighting with Joshua and taking the Promised Land. In another play as Samson, then play as one of David’s mighty men(after playing as David to take out Goliath), a puzzler where you play as Daniel in the court of Nebuchadnezzar and solve ancient mysteries around Babylon and deal with evil supernatural forces infecting the city etc etc etc. Heck, adapt @mattrhodesart’s Dead Gods. At least once there’s more story to adapt. The worldbuilding is already insane

@KevinEspiritu @LinusEkenstam Why do all these people not understand that we can tell it's a bunch of 3 second clips stitched together. It's jarring to see so many cuts, let alone all the other issues.

@TheMiddleborne We've loved a lot of the Biggest Story books. They've got stuff for all ages - and an awesome advent lift-the-flap book.

I got my oldest a bible for Christmas. She already had some, but they were in King James and she had a hard time understanding and connecting with it. So I got her an ESV The Biggest Story Bible and since Christmas she’s been reading it all over the place. Every night she wants to watch a companion video to a story, or we read a passage. Last night she begged to have the light on a little longer so she could read more

@smartereveryday @MattWhitmanTMBH a fun American example of a Shibboleth is all of the towns in Ohio that are named after foreign cities but pronounced differently. Eg Versailles = ver-sails not var-si, Lima = Lye-ma not Leee-ma This was used in prohibition to detect the feds at the speakeasy.

@Protestia Man this is devastating. His book Crux, Mors, Inferi is a particularly good and helpful book. I also loved The Mystery of Christ.

Sad news. Dr. Samuel D. Renihan, a pastor of Trinity Reformed Baptist Church in La Mirada, Calif, author, and writer for Ligonier and Founders has resigned from ministry after admitting to an adulterous affair.

@maxd2020 @LucasnMe123 @cudchewerchad @AshFarms Most "common" people in JESUS time spoke Aramaic, but couldn't read or write it. They memorized and spoke the old testament. The scholars/pharises/etc read/wrote Aramaic. Thus, the life of JESUS and the New Testament was spoke/transcribed in Greek.

If you've been following, you know about my quest to learn about Jesus. We realized we didn't have a Bible and today it arrived. Thankfully, it did not spontaneously combust when I touched it - so we've got that going for us. Where should we start? I think we are going to read a section every evening, we get up at 4:45 and the morning is already rushed. I know the Jesus part is in the second half, but it's going to take a long time to read the whole book. So what is a good starting point? Thank you all for all of the support. It's weird talking about real life on here and not just being completely obnoxious (love you, my boomers). I'm finding a way to still be me and explore this without guilt and shame. Thanks to those of you who have supported that.

@AshFarms I posted my attempt of an answer to the first question to someone in this post below: x.com/maxd2020/statu… To the second question, only Mormons believe that Jesus came to America and they also have many other false beliefs about Jesus that put them outside of Christianity.

@LucasnMe123 @cudchewerchad @AshFarms The Bible was written in 3 languages. Primarily Hebrew (old testament) and Greek (new testament). Because of this translation is needed. All of these are different approaches at translation, word for word translations just translate the words with minimal rephrasing 1/

@LucasnMe123 @cudchewerchad @AshFarms You're so welcome. I tagged him before, but @WesleyLHuff's website and YouTube channel are full of fantastic information to help learn about how we got the Bible and even dive into nerdy details about it. Feel free to ask other questions, I'm just a layman but I love God's Word.

@LucasnMe123 @cudchewerchad @AshFarms @WesleyLHuff Translators use a science called textual criticism to identify and correct for transcription errors etc over the millenia. So if I wrote two words twice or made a typo while copying, the error in the text can be traced in a family tree. It's really an interesting world! 4/4

@LucasnMe123 @cudchewerchad @AshFarms @WesleyLHuff Paraphrases are when someone interprets what they think the author meant and puts that in (my least favorite). The different translations aren't so massively different as to cause worry - many variations are more about style or taste. 3/

Update on my dad: He was hospitalized for two weeks and had to have a lower leg amputation for a foot infection that had gone septic and very nearly killed him. He also was placed on dialysis, probably for life, as he was on the verge of kidney failure with stage 4 kidney disease. All of this has taken a tremendous toll on him physically and emotionally, but he is in rehab right now regaining his strength, taking things day by day . But the most important thing is that I got to share the gospel with him. This was right before he went in for the amputation and I wasn’t sure if he was going to survive the surgery. And I said at the end “please believe” and he said “I believe”. I’ve spoken with him about the gospel several times since then and I do think he genuinely believes. At one point he said to me “I’m overwhelmed at the thought of how big God’s grace is”. I cannot express my gratitude to God for softening my dad’s heart for the gospel, and not to mention for extending his life for the time being. God is so good! And likewise, I thank you all for your many prayers and well-wishes. God bless you all.

My dad is on the brink of death and is not a believer. My heart is shattered. Please pray for a miracle.

This Sunday, I'm going to preach about the great evil we witnessed yesterday. What happened. Why it matters. Who's behind it. Who enabled it. Who's celebrating it. And what Christians should do about it. I've never interrupted a sermon series to address a current event before, but this time is different. I'm not gonna pull any punches. The godless cult of leftism is an existential threat and we are fools to pretend otherwise.
