@gbrew24 Is it true states like Qatar are making their own deals with Iran for transit or is that misinformation?

My sense coming into this week was that Trump would either seek to expand the war or de-escalate to ease the pressure from high energy prices. It is now clear he is attempting to do both at the same time.

@DavidPGCSE I'm looking forward to my wife watching it with my son. I hope they love it, watch every episode, any bonus content and plan a big trip to Harry Potter world for as many days as they want.

I reckon I'll enjoy this new potter adaptation as much as I did the last one and the books. Which is to say "never"

This was published by Tim Shipman on 14 February. It details how in the period up to 13 October, 2025 Labour officials became worried a motion would be put to parliament demanding the release of Morgan McSweeney's messages to Peter Mandelson. On October 20 McSweeney reported his mobile had been stolen.

@PippaCrerar Government phone rather understates the situation though?

McSweeney did, however, tell the call handler that it was a *government* phone, which you might think would have piqued the Met police’s interest…

NEW: Morgan McSweeney did *not* tell the police that he was the prime minister's chief of staff when he called 999 to report its theft. Met Police: "It has been assumed by many that the Met would have known details of the victim’s employment or the particular security risks associated with his device or material on it. This was not information provided to us and could not reasonably have shaped our decision making."

Exclusive: Police did not investigate the theft of Morgan McSweeney’s phone because officers were “too busy”, despite the sensitivity of his messages and contacts Sir Keir Starmer’s former chief of staff told the Metropolitan police that his phone was stolen as he returned home from a restaurant in central London on October 20 last year The theft of the work device means that McSweeney’s WhatsApp messages and texts to Lord Mandelson, the former ambassador to the US, cannot be retrieved. It has led critics to question whether the phone was stolen The State of It, the political podcast from The Times and The Sunday Times, can disclose that McSweeney told police the phone was taken by a man wearing a balaclava on an electric bike. The man grabbed it out of his hand as McSweeney was responding to text messages and cycled off. McSweeney gave chase but was unable to keep up Scotland Yard has a record of the incident but did not carry out any formal investigation. Officers did not speak to McSweeney directly because they were too busy. He was given a crime reference number and the case was closed McSweeney reported the theft of his phone to No 10 and the device was shut off remotely. He was given a new device with the same number the next day. The theft of the phone was first reported by The Sun on Sunday thetimes.com/uk/politics/ar…

@RWillmore86339 @Steven_Swinford There was a small release in December 25, but most of the files were released on January 30th this year. The transparency act was signed by Congress in November. So the date of the theft precedes all of that.

@Yoda4ever @grok how did the dogs know which direction to go over 17km? Did they walk unguided? Has anything like this been documented before?

Seven dogs stolen from their owners have gone viral after escaping from an illegal transport truck and making their way home. They traveled around 17 km together, led by a corgi across highways and fields, now safely back with their respective owners..🐶🐾🥺❤️

@21dysfunction @PolitlcsUK @thetimes Everyone agrees we need more homes. We’ve missed the ~300k/year target for years, we’re 1M+ homes short, and new towns won’t deliver meaningful supply until the 2030s. But the debate is about what to call them. That’s my issue.
