Tiago Splitter thing I'm interested in: Blazers were 29th in mid-range frequency ... only behind Billy Donovan's Bulls. Caleb Wilson took a lot of non-rim twos at UNC. Feels like the midrange has to be part of Caleb's shot profile. Will Splitter let him cook there?

@DraftDeeper The “promise” speculation seems especially silly. 0 incentive to give a prospect a promise if you’re picking #1 overall. Point of a promise is getting a prospect to drop to you by motivating them to not work out for anyone else

To be entirely honest, this doesn't mean a ton in the grand scheme of things. We have these situations every year that get read into far too much. What's been projected at the top of the draft is still where I'd lean, but we still have a long ways to go.

Developments ahead of the June 23-24 NBA draft: BYU's AJ Dybantsa has conducted formal visits with both the Washington Wizards (No. 1) and Utah Jazz (No. 2) while Kansas' Darryn Peterson only visited the Wizards and does not plan to grant anyone else a meeting, sources tell me and @JeremyWoo. He could’ve sat out the year and still been drafted high. But tried to play as much as possible and accepted/thrived in an off ball role

Not confident in the Tiago Splitter hire, but it’s worth noting that the criticism many have for him re: scheme/structure is the same criticism he has for himself (based on end of season presser). Will be interesting to see what he does with an entire offseason/training camp

Hate to call this out, but this is an example of not knowing ball. You don't pair Brunson with another star, you pair him with a wing defender who hides his weaknesses and doesn't demand the ball and fits into your long-term cap plans.
