Erdoğan and Al-Jolani are very dangerous. Telegram channels belonging to Turkey-backed Syrian terrorists are labeling the Christian population in Al-Suqaylabiyah as remnants of Assad regime to glorify massacring the local population and destroying their properties.

A disturbing video from Syria. A sheikh attempts to "save" a young Christian from "fire consumption" by pressuring him into conversion. This is the grim reality for religious minorities currently living under the rule of Ahmed al-Sharaa—the man leading the "New ISIS" transition. The historical irony is staggering. In the 7th century, John of Damascus (675–749)—a Christian who worked directly for the Muslim Umayyad rulers—wrote "The Fount of Knowledge," a work that openly critiqued Islam. In that era, a Christian could hold a high-ranking office and debate theology. Today, such a critique would be an immediate death sentence under al-Sharaa’s regime. Syria is moving backward, erasing centuries of pluralism. What is even more concerning is that this "new" Syria is being lobbied for and managed by U.S. Ambassador to Turkey and Special Envoy for Syria, Tom Barrack. A figure who faced federal court only years ago for his controversial foreign influence is now the primary architect of U.S. policy in the region. When diplomatic rebranding takes precedence over basic religious freedom, the world’s most vulnerable pay the price. The international community cannot turn a blind eye to the "theological correction" and systematic pressure being exerted on Syria's religious groups. cc: @hrw @amnesty @USCIRF @StateDept @UNHumanRights @HRC #Syria #HumanRights #ReligiousFreedom #TomBarrack #History

More videos of the looting of Christian shops in Suqaylabiyah, #Syria An argument between a resident of Suqaylabiyah and another from Qalaat al-Madiq led to scores of men from the Sunni town storming the area and attacking shops, homes and cars. Since the fall of Assad in December 2024, members of the country’s Alawite, Druze and Christian minorities have been subjected to attacks by gunmen loyal to the country’s new Islamist rulers. Hundreds of people have been killed, including Alawites in Syria’s coastal region in March last year and Druze in the southern province of Sweida in July. Jihadi Groups Escalate Threats Against Christians in Western Syria Attacks targeting Christian communities in western Syria are expected to increase. According to reports, jihadi forces in Qalaat al-Madiq (35.686 N, 36.255 E) have called for “mobilization” against the nearby Christian town of Suqaylabiya. Further reports indicate that jihadist groups are gathering forces in preparation for what they describe as a “ghazwa,” or jihadi framed military campaign 1. Al-Huwayz al-Qibla (35.59 N, 36.62 E) 2. 🇸🇨🇮🇱 Interview with Mr. @AKRAMHASSON on Al-Mashhad TV: We have no agreements whatsoever with the current interim regime in #Syria, and the Israeli leadership does not trust al-Julani, who knows no language other than killing and extremist sectarian fanaticism. Al-Julani remains at the top of the target list of #Israel, and ultimately he will not escape the fate of those who came before him—Nasrallah, Khamenei, Sinwar, and others.

@MarioNawfal Yes! Now you know why the “Syria deserves a chance” argument makes no sense. Syria needs a new inclusive constitution and government. A government formed by HTS will never work. Minorities like the Druze, Christians, Kurds and Alawites have all paid a heavy price

🚨🇸🇾 Islamist mobs looted and destroyed Christian properties in Al-Suqaylabiyah, Syria. And recorded it. The town is one of Syria's oldest Christian communities. When mobs film themselves doing this, that's an announcement.

Julani’s forces are mass slaughtering Christians in Syria today. Gee… who could have ever predicted this? 🤡 A jihadi in a suit is still a jihadi. Imagine thinking putting a wanted ISIS terrorist in charge of Syria was ever going to end well…
Laura Loomer@LauraLoomer

🚨 WATCH 🚨 Syria’s new ISIS President Abu Mohammed al-Julani, an Islamic terrorist who was wanted by the US government for a $10 million bounty until May of 2025, just arrived in the US for his November 10th meeting with President Trump at the White House. I traveled to the Syrian border this week where I met with and interviewed members of the Druze community who have been impacted by Julani’s Islamic inspired mass killings and kidnappings. On the Syrian border in Majdal Shams, I documented the truth about Julani and his continued Islamic persecution of religious minorities, including the Druze, Christians, and Alawites. I was shown horrific videos and photos of recent murders and rapes of Druze people committed by Julani’s forces, particularly in Suwayda, the capital of the predominantly Druze al-Suwayda Governorate in southern Syria, home to the country's largest Druze community. President Trump @POTUS, please demand that Julani stop committing mass murder of non-Muslims in Syria! Our US tax dollars were just sent to Syria on October 27th to provide life saving humanitarian aid for the Druze and Christians in Syria. We wouldn’t be needing to send that aid to Syria if Julani and his ISIS insurgents stopping committing acts of Islamic terror against non-Muslims living under Julani’s regime. US officials cannot shake hands with a jihadist terrorist in the Oval Office as a genocide against the Druze is happening before our eyes. The time for moral clarity and action is NOW. The United States of America must stand up against Islamic terrorism and force Julani to stop committing and orchestrating acts of Islamic terrorism against innocent people. @POTUS @SecRubio @marcorubio @SteveWitkoff @SusieWiles @StephenM

According to local sources, the groups that carried out the attack on the Christian neighborhoods in Sqaylibiyah are affiliated with Sami Al-Hamoud, also known as Abu Khaled Mazout. Sami Al-Hamoud, or Abu Khaled Mazout, was born in the village of Al-Owain in the Hama countryside in 1982. He served as the head of the Al-Qabal prison affiliated with the Al-Nusra Front, and currently holds the position of deputy head of intelligence in Syria. KurdishFrontNews

Not all heroes wear capes. God bless the unsung heroes of Suwayda who gave their lives to safeguard the truth, such as the IT worker at the National Hospital, without whom we would never have learned about atrocities like the execution of volunteer Mohammed Bahsas in front of his colleagues by government troops, captured on CCTV. And everlasting shame to those who went above and beyond to conceal the crimes committed by Syrian regime forces against Druze civilians, especially now that the testimonies of Druze survivors and eyewitnesses have been vindicated by the UN Commission’s report. Above all, I think of the Syria think tank expert class in the West, as well as analysts like @AimenDean, who even staked their reputations on spreading falsehoods. Remember these dishonorable people’s names.

Some of what was included in the International Commission of Inquiry report on the Suwayda massacres, which held the Syrian transitional authority responsible: • The commission documented that government forces were receiving orders via radio and wireless communications during the execution of the killings, indicating the existence of a conscious chain of command. This contradiction between political discourse and field reality is at the core of the authority’s legal and political problem. • The investigation reveals, in numbers, that up to 80,000 tribal fighters gathered from across Syria within days and participated in the killings, looting, and burning of 35 villages within 48 hours. (A tribal leader had previously admitted in a widely circulated video that 500,000 fighters took part in the “campaign” on Suwayda). • The findings state clearly that government forces stationed at the entrances of Suwayda after the initial attack did not prevent the arrival of tribal fighters and other groups, but rather facilitated their entry and provided them with supplies. • The fighters who attacked Suwayda did not hide their crimes. They documented and published them themselves, including killings, forced shaving of mustaches, burning bodies, running them over with trucks, and forcing victims to jump from balconies. All of this was published directly on social media. • The investigation points in several places to the involvement of foreign fighters, speaking Arabic with non-Syrian accents, in killings and looting inside civilian homes in Suwayda and in its western and northern villages. The commission considered the use of humiliation tactics such as forced shaving of mustaches not merely a passing insult, but a systematic and deliberate act aimed at undermining the dignity of Druze individuals. These practices targeted men in general, especially elders who hold social and religious status. • The investigation documented the spread of videos showing fighters heading toward Suwayda carrying scissors and shaving machines even before their arrival, indicating that the humiliation was pre-planned. • The report confirmed the involvement of multiple parties in the massacres against the Druze, including government and security forces, tribal groups, and elements linked to the terrorist organization ISIS. • The commission’s report spans 89 pages, which requires days and weeks to fully present everything included in it. ⸻ These are images of the criminal Qusai al-Amoudi (a Syrian from Raqqa), who documented himself participating in the massacres, violations, and kidnappings. He was arrested briefly by the authorities and then released. After the attack, he even met with ministers and officials and was hosted by the official news agency. #Suwayda #SuwaydaMassacres

Our government is lying to you about Syria so they can unlock billions in “reconstruction” funding and quietly siphon money through the same corrupt channels. That is why they do not blink when an Al-Qaeda leader consolidates power or when Christians are slaughtered in their homes. It is not about stability or peace, it is about profit. What comes next is predictable. This kind of greed turns Syria into another Afghanistan, wipes out minorities, and leaves terrorists stronger and better positioned to harm us. This is not complicated. Doing the right thing would mean confronting the threat head on. Instead, too many are willing to cash in today and deal with the consequences tomorrow.

The Syrian Network for Human Rights just released its annual report on Syria's human rights situation in 2025 (the first full year after Assad's fall). Reading through it, one can only say the situation there is at the very least horrific. 🧵
