The day we get rid of the ISS is the day I’ll cheer so loud, could’ve had multiple Lunar bases and Mars missions for a fraction of the station’s cost…

With the successful launch of Artemis II, this guy reclaims the top spot for the most expensive human spaceflight program to never fly crew.

My favorite part of moon landing deniers is they always say "The Moon Landing". Emphasis on "The". We landed on the moon six times. Were the other five also fake or just the one?
Joan Cutesac@joancutesac

@memeticsisyphus Let me clarify your own argument for you: "NASA didn't fake the moon landing! Here's a photo from a NASA-assisted mission to prove it!" 🤡

@Brellionaires @myth_pilot I don't think it's unicode because the hindi word that it uses makes sense on the context, for example: > Permanent Mars outpost (dozens of մարդիկ, not thousands)

Have you seen this? Chat JeetPT is outputting random Hindi words is responses. This is a regular occurrence now. There’s something seriously wrong with OpenAi’s models.

Ontop of the fact that this boss/weapon makes the desert the 2nd weakest region for the 5th league in a row now. Why not introduce a weapon that mimics KQs range and mage attacks, you can choose which one, and it hits everything in a 32x32 tile radius while ignoring defence?

I see the same yet the opposite. We had the technology to travel to the moon in 1968. It does not require modern computers. What is mind-blowing is that we wasted 58 years in space development and are now landing on the moon again. In the 1960s, informed expectation was that by 2000, we would have a permanent base on the moon, O'Neill type habitats in high Earth orbit, and crewed travel to the outer planets. It is not an unfortunate accident that we did not get The Future We Were Promised. It is the result of decades of intentional civilizational breakdown at the hands of the globalist-marxist alliance that first partially, and then completely came to dominate the Western world. The worst thing the GMA did to humanity was to destroy our dreams. Increasingly, we no longer imagined a post-scarcity future of unimaginable abundance and universal prosperity. Instead, we were taught to hate our own civilization, to feel ashamed and sorry for it, and to dream of "social justice" as the ultimate civilizational achivement, with success measured by how many people are on welfare. The decline of Star Trek paralleled this. Classic Star Trek made us dream of a post-scarcity, post-grievance world. Marxist NuTrek showed us, absurdly, victims with replicators in the year 3195. I hope that we are now at the end of this period of decline and ready to toss out the toxic ideological garbage that has held us back for over half a century. A true better world cannot be created by administering scarcity more fairly, or managing poverty better. It requires material abundance, and that requires space development.

Seeing a lot of tweets that show people don’t realize everything Artemis 2 is doing, including calculating slingshot trajectories with no margin for error, was already done in 1968 and repeated multiple times afterward, including in 1970 when they had to recalculate and execute a new trajectory 150,000 miles from Earth with engines that weren’t designed for it because part of the spacecraft had exploded. All of this was done with computers that had 100,000 times less memory and 1,000 times less processing power than an iPhone. It’s great that it’s being done again, but the real mind blowing thing is that the exact same thing was done 58 years ago with far less technology.

@textbasedlife @HMSBritannia82 @Kama_Kamilia The antenna are not too big. It's be useful when they renter, curious about that heat shield. Starlink does better than regular radio for reentry with almost no blackout, while traditional radio is out for a while from the plasma.

@ScottMBrownlee The difference is, SpaceX uses the Starlink constellation to relay video. Artemis can't do this, as its orbiting way above Starlink satellites, so has to rely on much lower bandwidth links.

Very disappointing coverage of the Artimis launch by NASA. SpaceX has raised expectations well beyond what we saw tonight. We need live telemetry, live on board and exterior cameras, not ‘visualisation’.

@HMSBritannia82 @Kama_Kamilia not really, it's a very eccentric orbit way higher than any starlink satellite. Starlink would only work for the 5% of the mission where they are near low earth orbit altitudes.

What really sucks about the moon launch is that people are so schizo that even with a ton of evidence, they'll never believe it. There's nothing we can do to prove it, either. They will say it's impossible because of the Van Allen belt, despite them having no clue what it is. It's just something they heard from another schizo and they repeat it. Honestly, they'll probably double down and say the moon and space don't even exist.

With respect to him, this person is a man. I have no problem with what he wears or what he does in private. But he is a man. And it is not transphobic to say so. It is insulting and inappropriate to the 1.5 million women who suffer with endometriosis for him to have been appointed to speak for them. Today I have written to Endometriosis South Coast to urge a reconsideration of this appointment.
