@N00TMAN It's banned because they banned it. Also the 715 does have more capabilities than the 702 does. Namely ease of mounting scopes. The below two rifles are both bolt actions but one has more capabilities than the other.

@Nap51M Once again missing the point. WHY is the 715 banned and not the 702? Because of the scary black shell, not because of its capabilities.

Canadians seething so bad at me for pointing out that Mossberg 715 and Mossberg 702 aren't the same gun that they are linking Ruger 10/22 clamshells. My advice is to get a CZ 457 and some quality .22lr (not mini mags) and learn to shoot instead of being wrong in the internet.

@N00TMAN Also just because there is part interchangeability doesn't mean they are the same gun. A 2010 Ford Mustang and 2010 F-150 aren't the same even though both came with a 4.0L V6, the exact same 4.0L V6 All AR-15s use the same internals yet there are lots of different guns there.

Nowadays you got soldiers carrying weapons with optics, lights, bells and whistles. Are we not teaching marksmanship anymore? For fucks sake at 26 I could key hole shots at 100 yards with open sights using this old battleaxe. What happens when the optic eats a round or breaks?
