Some people say that to have a disability right from birth is a curse. No we need to embrace what God gave us. We need to look at our abilities for us to become productive to the community where live and we can also become independent

That is very important because when young boys and girls with disabilities are included in school and they are given reasonable accommodation and accessibility they get knowledge and skills which can sustain them into a competitive field of work
Lamicare Disability Rights Organisation Uganda@LamicareDRO

Encouraging to see this important step toward inclusion. we believe that improving mobility and access to education for learners with disabilities is key to protecting their rights and expanding their opportunities. Initiatives like this help keep girls and boys with disabilities in school and strengthen their chances for a brighter future. Kudos to @MPWDAdisability, @DestinyMatters, and the support from @GirlsFirstFund for advancing disability inclusion and education.

We can use Nothing about Us with out us . Also the UNCRPD art 21 and 9 freedom can wait but rights cannot wait you can be twitting while tagging ministry of health while showing the gaps with in the ministry
Ogwal Alex@AlexOgwal5

@walugitho I agree, but how can we agitate for this desired change? Recently, the government had plans to deploy UgSL interpreters in various hospitals, but lack of funds became a problem.

Those are missing gaps in ministry of health so we need to advocate for one sign language interpretors in every government hospital
Ogwal Alex@AlexOgwal5

Did you know? In Uganda, many pregnant #Deaf women and girls cannot access proper antenatal care simply because there are no #Ugandan sign language interpreters or information in Ugandan Sign Language (USL) in various health facilities across the country. They miss important health advice, cannot give informed consent, and often leave clinics confused which is not just a "communication problem" but it's a life-threatening barrier and injustices Deaf women face while accessing essential healthcare services. True access means more than just words. It means inclusion from the start so what’s one change you’d like to see in our health facilities for #Deaf people in Uganda? Drop it below #DeafAccessUG #SignLanguageRights #DeafInUganda #AccessibilityMatters #DisabilityRights

For many persons with disabilities in Uganda, hope is often found in the simplest but most powerful things access to inclusive opportunities, supportive communities, dignity, and the chance to live independently. At @LamicareDRO,we believe hope grows when barriers are removed and when persons with disabilities are empowered to participate fully in society. This #Easterseason reminds us of a defining moment in the history of mankind—the foundation upon which our hope is built. Because every person, including persons with disabilities, deserves to experience dignity, inclusion, and the fullness of life. #HopeForAll #DisabilityInclusion #RenewedHope #HappyEaster
