Encouraging to see this important step toward inclusion. we believe that improving mobility and access to education for learners with disabilities is key to protecting their rights and expanding their opportunities. @walugitho I agree, but how can we agitate for this desired change? Recently, the government had plans to deploy UgSL interpreters in various hospitals, but lack of funds became a problem.

In Uganda, many pregnant #Deaf women and girls cannot access proper antenatal care simply because there are no #Ugandan sign language interpreters or information in Ugandan Sign Language (USL) in various health facilities across the country. They miss important health advice, cannot give informed consent, and often leave clinics confused which is not just a "communication problem" but it's a life-threatening barrier and injustices Deaf women face while accessing essential healthcare services.
