Read the thread. DMK has handed this issue to the BJP on a platter. Now that the realisation has finally dawned on them, they have fallen back on their old, familiar script — pretending that nothing will happen, nothing will change, and there is nothing to worry about. FACT 2: The BJP is in no mood to extend the freeze. Amit Shah, citing the Vajpayee Government's 84th amendment, made it clear last evening. Therefore, those assuming that BJP will go for an extension of freeze after the fall of the 131st in the Lok Sabha are fooling themselves.

The bill: The Constitution (131st Amendment) Bill, 2026
The newspapers that toed BJP's line (and fell for BJP's electoral ploy, the very point of RUSHING this bill) and called it 'Women's Quota Bill' (or similar framing) and the newspapers that did not.

> Seat redistribution was frozen in 1976 under Indira Gandhi
> Freeze was extended till 2026 under Atal Bihari Vajpayee in 2001
> People have known for over ~15 years that 2026 was fixed
> Neither any political party nor ‘North Indians’ decide this, delimitation is a constitutional process. whoever is in power must execute it
> Women Reservation bill was passed in 2023, but to implement it, delimitation via Article 334A is compulsory.
> So delimitation is now practically unavoidable
> This process does not need fresh 2/3rd majority
> Govt proposed a new Constitutional Amendment to increase Lok Sabha seats from 543 → ~850, to protect southern states
> But it faced opposition, mainly from DMK
> So no bill passed
> Now delimitation will likely follow Article 81 & 82, that means pure population-based allocation
> South loses share, and Tamil Nadu will be among the most affected
Result :
BJP outplayed opposition & DMK mislead south.
BJP will use, “We tried to protect all states, but opposition blocked it.”
Both delimitation + reservation will eventually go ahead.

சரி அப்ப 25 வருஷம் கழிச்சு? மறுபடியும் Freeze பண்ணலாமா? இவனுங்களுக்கு என்னைக்கும் solution தேவைப்பட்டதே இல்லை.
காஷ்மீர், Article 370, ராமர் கோவில் பிரச்சனைனு சொல்லிட்டே போகலாம். பிரச்சனைக்கு Solution வந்தா இவனுங்க அரசியல் காலி.
140 கோடி நாட்டுக்கு 543 MP போதும் இன்னும் 25 வருஷம் கழிச்சு 180 கோடி மக்கள் தொகை ஆகும்போது பாத்துக்கலாம்னு சொல்ற இவனுங்க கூட எல்லாம் அரசியல் பேச வேண்டியதா இருக்கு.

👉 அரசியலமைப்பு சட்டம் மக்கள்தொகைக் கணக்கெடுப்புக்குப் பிறகு எல்லைநிர்ணயம் செய்ய வேண்டும் என்று கூறுகிறது (அரசியலமைப்புப் பிரிவுகள் 81 & 82)
👉 இருக்கைகளை மறுபங்கீடு செய்வது 1976-ல் இந்திரா காந்தி ஆட்சியில் முடக்கப்பட்டது
👉 இந்த முடக்கம் 2001-ல் அடல் பிஹாரி வாஜ்பாய் ஆட்சியில் 2026 வரை நீட்டிக்கப்பட்டது
👉 2026 என்பது சுமார் 15 ஆண்டுகளாகவே அனைவருக்கும் தெரிந்த விஷயம்
👉 இதை எந்த அரசியல் கட்சியும் அல்லது ‘வட இந்தியர்களும்’ தீர்மானிப்பதில்லை. எல்லைநிர்ணயம் என்பது அரசியலமைப்பு நடைமுறை. யார் ஆட்சியில் இருந்தாலும் அதை நிறைவேற்ற வேண்டும்.
👉 பெண்கள் இடஒதுக்கீடு மசோதா 2023-ல் நிறைவேற்றப்பட்டது. ஆனால் அதை நடைமுறைப்படுத்த, அரசியலமைப்புப் பிரிவு 334A-ன் கீழ் எல்லைநிர்ணயம் கட்டாயம் தேவை.
👉 எனவே எல்லைநிர்ணயம் இப்போது நடைமுறைப்படுத்தப்பட வேண்டியதாகிவிட்டது.
👉 இந்த நடைமுறைக்கு புதிய 2/3 பெரும்பான்மை தேவையில்லை.
👉 தென் மாநிலங்களைப் பாதுகாக்க, லோக்சபா இருக்கைகளை 543-லிருந்து ~850 ஆக உயர்த்தும் புதிய அரசியலமைப்புத் திருத்த மசோதாவை அரசு முன்மொழிந்தது.
👉 ஆனால் அதற்கு எதிர்ப்பு வந்தது, குறிப்பாக திமுகவிடமிருந்து.
👉 எனவே எந்த மசோதாவும் நிறைவேற்றப்படவில்லை.
👉 இப்போது எல்லைநிர்ணயம் அரசியலமைப்புப் பிரிவுகள் 81 & 82-ன் படி நடைபெறும் வாய்ப்பு அதிகம். அதாவது தூய மக்கள்தொகை அடிப்படையிலான இருக்கைப் பங்கீடு.
👉 தென் மாநிலங்கள் பங்கு இழக்கும். தமிழ்நாடு அதிகம் பாதிக்கப்படும் மாநிலங்களில் ஒன்றாக இருக்கும்.
விளைவு :
👉 பாஜக தென் மாநிலங்கள், வடகிழக்கு மற்றும் மேற்கு மாநிலங்களைப் பாதுகாக்க முயற்சி செய்தது.
👉 திமுக, காங்கிரஸ் அனைத்து மாநிலங்களின் பிரதிநிதித்துவத்தையும் கெடுத்துவிட்டன.
👉 எல்லைநிர்ணயமும், பெண்கள் இடஒதுக்கீடும் இறுதியில் நடைபெறும்.
👉 ஆனால் மக்கள் 2027 தொகைக்கு ஏற்ப தமிழ்நாட்டில் குறையும் திமுகவின் திராவிடத்தனதால்
