@ungrim97 @OctopusEnergy I understand the sentiment. I know that I'm torn between exporting during the day and using excess to charge the car. The export rate is higher than the overnight import rate. I think it is designed to encourage the cleanest/lowest carbon grid overall.

I think I actually hate @OctopusEnergy flux tariff. Because it encourages profit making by consumers rather than minimising grid use. Which must make their energy use less green I want to be encouraged to use my own energy not export it and impory it back cheaper later
