I hope Punjab and Sindh do not surrender even 0.1% of their share because this federal divisible pool is already 90% funded by tax, manufacturing/services industry, and agriculture of Punjab and Sindh..
There is already a net flow of hundreds of billions of rupees from these two provinces to run the other two provinces.
An increase in money will only exacerbate the already present Dutch disease, where KPK's government does not feel any compulsion to increase tax collection, collect utility bills, and address other financial leakages because they get funded by the money collected from Punjab and Sindh.

The billions meant for exFata’s development & security have been diverted to Sindh, Punjab and Balochistan. But the bone of contention is the 900 billion plus rupees that will have to be subtracted from the rest of the province who have been using the tribal areas share for their own development since 2018. KP’s walkout was meant on the basis that the continuation of the last NFC award post merger is ultra constitutional unless arrears of the tribal areas are also paid.
