@PurpPantherr @AndrewDBailey Speculative but very probable. But as true as that might be, the issue is because the NBA’s rules require 65 games, one player could miss out on an All NBA selection he deserves, but play more minutes that a player who might win MVP.

I think Victor Wembanyama being 106th in total minutes played is a very real knock against his MVP candidacy. But I also think it's pretty easy to turn it into a positive, because he trails only Shai Gilgeous-Alexander in total raw plus-minus.

It’s crazy because in the playoffs the Spurs have an even higher ceiling. Wemby can play an extra 8-10 minutes per game.

The gap between Wemby & SGA on defense is just as big, if not bigger, than the gap between SGA & Jokic on defense. So if defense is that important, like it was last yr in voting, I don't see how Wemby doesn't have the edge for MVP. SGA is good on defense... Wemby is historic.

"Wemby can't win MVP only averaging 24 points." Really? Because I seem to remember Tim Duncan winning on 23 ppg. Curry won his first MVP on 24 ppg, and so did KG.

It is truly absurd that the Spurs are a +14.5 NET team in Wemby’s minutes. That is an all-time dominant number. Their defense performs like one of the very best *ever* when he’s on the court. His impact is extraordinary. One of the very best 3rd-year players ever.
