@beffjezos if your team isn't hitting at least 10-50 on avg you need to be asking some difficult and serious questions

Honestly something in the space between Figma, origami, framer and Cursor / v0 is gonna happen in the next few years and it’s gonna be wild. And what’s more, it’s in a blind spot. It won’t be an engineering led IDE and it won’t be a cool design tool for cool designers. It’s gonna be something in between which means the team to build it will need to be unique.
Alex Kehr@alexkehr

Tools like Cursor and v0 feel like an extinction-level—or at least userbase-collapsing—threat to Figma if they don’t react fast. Beyond collaboration features, designing in Figma is starting to feel like it makes no sense when functional prototypes can be generated so quickly.

TIL there is a company trying to figure out 3D printing houses on the moon. It's a fun environment, you get no air for cooling fans, but also free vacuum for any of your scientific or semiconductor fab need. And you also get "room T" superconductors at night.

@0xmaddie_ gpt2 was more likely to be a risk than 4o, its easy to take for granted now but back then it was the first way you could automate the production of coherent text that was accurate and wasnt on rails. we didnt really have a model for what would happen at the time

I wanna see more information about why they thought 4o was "too risky to release". it makes me skeptical of their safety procedures that they thought this; reminds me of how they said the same thing about GPT-2 🙄
Garrison Lovely is in SF@GarrisonLovely

This article is full of bombshells. Excellent reporting by @dseetharaman. The biggest one: OpenAI rushed testing of GPT-4o (already reported), released the model and then subsequently determined the model was too risky to release! I had a scenario like this in a forthcoming...
