Egal, ob’s nun der grüne „Bürgaymeister“ ist oder der mit der Antifa paktierende Ex-OB geworden wäre: Linksliberale aus ganz Deutschland ziehen seit jeher nach München, ̶w̶̶e̶̶i̶̶l̶’̶s̶̶ ̶̶d̶̶a̶̶ ̶̶s̶̶o̶̶ ̶̶u̶̶r̶̶i̶̶g̶̶ ̶̶i̶̶s̶̶t̶̶ ̶ weil sie die Zustände in ihren Heimatstädten nicht mehr ertragen und sorgen dann mit ihrem Wahlverhalten dafür, dass München langfristig so verkommt wie Berlin und Köln. Wahnsinn. 95%!!!!! Wieso ist der Mechanismus so kaputt? Wo ist der Prozess so schlecht, dass derartige Summen zum Löcher stopfen genutzt werden? In Germany (and many other European countries), the law strictly limits how many hours you can work per day. In my first job, my key card tracked how long I was in the office. If I exceeded 10 hours, it automatically escalated to senior management. And this wasn’t even an hourly contract.

Total bullshit. You can work 6-7 days per week in Europe as well, and 12 hours per day if you wish. You just need to pay people extra. If extra hours aren’t charged more overworking becomes the norm. We don’t want that. We actually want to have a life.

Und wenn ich wirklich hier eine Firma baue dann kann ich mich mit Themen wie Investitionsschutzgesetz, Mitarbeiterbeteiligung und lähmenden Arbeitsregulierungen abkämpfen. Bei OAI arbeiten die meisten Leute 6-7 Tage die Woche und werden depentsprechend bezahlt. Be uns ist das illegal.

There’s still a strong social stigma around people who want to work more. On top of that, labor laws make it impossible to structure contracts for those who choose to exceed standard hours and if someone goes beyond the formal limit, employers carry significant legal risk. Add high taxes and social security contributions, and suddenly paying top salaries becomes extremely expensive.
