@adietrichs I think you're missing the point: they found him guilty of hiding the payments for the purposes of winning the election.

Foreigner perspective: Prosecuting a former president is a dangerous act that needs extraordinary justification. The Jan 6 events are a reasonable candidate for that. Incorrectly declared payments to hide an affair with a porn star are not. Seems net negative for US democracy.

Can someone connect me to a @Starknet teammate? Many Rocket Pool stakers qualified to claim but the claim is impossible. Rocket Pool cannot claim on their behalf, every node is an independent contract. The simplest solution is to drop the $strk to the withdrawal address

As someone in the discord said - it's a basic tenet of any accounting software that you don't make changes without explicit consent each and every time.

It's great to have (long overdue) new features. It's utter madness to inflict chaos on your power users. Taxes are hard enough without these kind of amateur shenanigans. Weeks of work up in smoke.

@accointing @glassnode Jesus fucking christ - accointing have completely burned their reputation as a a crypto tax platform by releasing an update that automatically reclassifies old transactions without explicit consent from their users.

Only a fortnight ago Sam Bankman-Fried was in the stratosphere. But the high-speed implosion of FTX has dealt a catastrophic blow to an industry with a history of failure and scandals. Is this the end for crypto? econ.st/3geBwnW

@alexhern Bitcoin, Ethereum, other important chains are working as usual. Nothing has broken.

@alexhern What happened at FTX is nothing really to do with crypto, as much as it is to do with humans, finance and regulation.

@alexhern The internet is also a morass of scams, crime, and criminal scams. Doesn't mean there isn't plenty of interesting and important stuff out there.

@alexhern It used to be smart, now it's pretty old. On Ethereum smart folks started fighting back by getting block builders (flashbots) to fund the wallet and take the scammers tokens before they had a chance to remove your funds. Hence movement to nonsense blockchains like Tron.

@alexhern The account likely doesn't have the base currency to actually make the transfer. So you fund the wallet to initiate the transfer, and they transfer that out using a bot before you get a chance to do anything else.

@brian_trollz @BitMEXResearch @DanDarkPill The inactivity leak (..being inactive) is not slashing (the punishment for fraudulent activity) - those are two separate things. And the inactivity leak is very small - you only have to be online 50% of the time to be in profit.

Congrats! The monumental and historical moment where ETH...*checks notes*...switches to a consensus algorithm numerous coins have used for almost 10 years in some cases... Uhm...cool?

@Toblerone I bought the very expensive special POAP chocolate, but there is no info about the POAP - anywhere in the packaging or email - and the web page about this product has vanished. What's going on here?
