These numbers are shocking. It's like we got a new frontier AI model but for the body.
Lilly's phase 3 results for retatrutide:
> highest dose lost 28.3% of body weight in 80 wks
> 70 lbs ave
> 45% lost 30% or more of their body weight
> 65% on the top dose no longer clinically obese
Retatrutide is more dynamic than semaglutide and tirzepatide because it targets three receptors (GIP, GLP-1, and glucagon), versus one and two, respectively.
Side effects, on the highest dose (12mg), were higher for retatrutide than tirzepatide (nausea and GI), with an 11.3% drop out rate. The lowest 4mg dose still delivered 19% loss with fewer dropouts than placebo.

Libido stays, lust disappears.
Anyone complaining about “apathy” on Reta or another GLP might need to reevaluate the source of the interests and hobbies.
It took me about 3 weeks of Reta for those thoughts to slip away.
Meanwhile I have never been more laser-focused on the interests which bring me true value.
I can also 4D chess my political viewpoints and headline news no longer grabs my attention.
I am the car driver. I choose the destination. Thoughts may come and go but I can keep moving forward. Before Reta I was simply a passenger on public transit. A hostage to the destinations others picked for me.
Reta has been quite life-changing to my inner thoughts and I hope its FDA approval is swift.

Anything that tonically raises dopamine will not be blunted. You know who this is an issue for? People who get their dopamine from the wrong sources. If you watch a lot p0rn, eat fast food, you gamble or smoke a lot etc you will be bored out of your mind on retatrutide and likely feel pretty bad mental wise. If you are a hard worker? Dialed in? Locked in? You wont notice a thing besides the background noise for certain urges disappearing.

A company I own is being audited for exactly this.
They’re attempting to reject ALL HST inputs on the renovation.
They don’t know how petty I am & I will happily take it to court.
The auditor is also as dumb as a post.

In 1998, I was fired from my corporate job while 9 months pregnant because and I quote, “my priorities would be elsewhere after the baby is born.”
The lawyer I hired told me I didn’t have a case because discrimination like “that” was almost impossible to prove.
So I got pissed.
Took the LSAT. Went to law school. Passed the bar. Had 3 more kids.
Twelve years later, another woman from that same company was fired for the same reason. She sued them for a million dollars, and won, partly because I had kept every piece of evidence from what happened to me years prior demonstrating a systemic pattern of discrimination against women.
That company no longer exists. My law practice is thriving. And that baby they said would derail my priorities? She’s a brilliant attorney now working at my firm.
Turns out my priorities were indeed, elsewhere.

Now that we have phase-3 results for retatrutide, it's time to revisit the question: What would happen to obesity if we gave every obese (BMI 30+) person the drug for just one year? Well, the obesity rate would fall by more than 80%! We'd be skinnier than the U.S. circa 1980!

Does it drive any one else CRAZY that these weight loss drugs essentially cause the person to just not eat.
It’s essentially anorexia in a pill, and off the drugs food cravings return and if habits aren’t changed then weight creeps back. I get the projected heath cost savings but geez need we a drug for everything?
