On July 12, 2021, slightly over a month after all 10k apes were minted, @tropoFarmer , @foxSlightly , @Herb_Castillo , and @friesframe all chipped in to get a cameo of Gilbert Gottfried rambling about BAYC.
It was still very early on when OG collectors were just celebrating this weird, new thing and we would pump out random stuff just for shits and giggles.
Gilbert passed the following year in April 2022 and while it was a massive blow to the comedy world at large, it was nice knowing we had this tribute to him tied to our weird subsection of the internet - even if he had no idea what he was reading (but to be fair, at the time none of us truly knew wtf was going on 😆)
RIP @RealGilbert and thanks for doing this for us 🍻
