Creator of C++, Bjarne Stroustrup: AI-generated code isn't ready — it generates more bugs, more bloat, more security holes, and is nearly impossible to validate "senior developers are already retiring rather than deal with it" The problem is that even a small prompt change can shift the entire codebase in unpredictable ways

I saw one code base recently of an app built by AI for someone using firebase to auth and i couldn’t help but laugh, he asked me to help him clean it up but the code is so bad that he committed .env file. This is why one needs to touch grass and leave AI for a while.

@smartnakamoura I do think beginners need to avoid AI totally for a full year. Open many tabs and use stack overflow

@ossynoya I really don’t get it, I still think it’s fair tho, as long as you don’t depend on it for everything, just the boiler plates, use skills and trust but verify.

I’m not even sure if Google is still maintaining antigravity. That ide has become so terrible to use it’s even frustrating for pro users too.

USE THE PROMPT BELOW IN CODEX/CC TO PROTECT YOUR SYSTEM AND CODEBASE FROM NPM SUPPLY CHAIN ATTACKS (LIKE TANSTACK TODAY): """ set up npm supply-chain protection on this machine. do all four steps. 1. edit ~/.npmrc. keep every existing line (auth tokens etc), append: min-release-age=7 minimum-release-age=10080 save-exact=true 2. edit ~/.bunfig.toml (create if missing). keep existing content, append: [install] minimumReleaseAge = 604800 3. in this project, open package.json and pin every dependency: strip ^ and ~ from every version under dependencies, devDependencies, and peerDependencies. exact versions only. 4. commit the lockfile (bun.lock / package-lock.json / pnpm-lock.yaml) so the resolved tree is locked in git. then report: files changed, deps pinned, anything unexpected. """ the cooldown makes every package manager refuse any version published in the last 7 days. attack chains usually only last a couple hours, but this protects you long term and for any future attacks... which at this rate will keep happening

@andre_Banks_ @_ebelechukwu Would like to hear her arguments if she will respond, strict parenting that’s truly love based is always the way to go.

@_ebelechukwu “Strict parenting” but she went to four different schools. She was give 4 different chances to respawn, yet she blew it. Who do you think sponsored those attempts? Her Kana boyfriends? Strict parenting only gives one chance, before you’re disowned.

Her parents tried. Imagine sending your child to four different Universities and this is the life she chooses. This is also the dangers of strict parenting. The kids get a little freedom and go haywire.
