We all remember how the community was hyped up during the launch with slogans like “Solana killer, Ethereum rival, the biggest L1 out there.” I never bought into those over-the-top promises. The technology is genuinely strong. There’s serious engineering behind high TPS, low fees, EVM compatibility, and all that. But the marketing side? A complete disaster. Three years of effort, raising about $500 million in funding, and the end result is a market cap that’s even below what they raised. This isn’t just a dip. From the outside, it looks like a rug pull-level collapse. There’s one fundamental truth that’s being overlooked here. For the ecosystem and Monad to get stronger, the token price needs to be high, not low. A team this disconnected from the market and incentive mechanics can’t possibly miss that. A strong price motivates builders, attracts liquidity, and builds trust. A weak price does the exact opposite it rots the ecosystem from the inside. So, what’s the main problem? An explosion of overconfidence in the team. We’ve witnessed it firsthand. They displayed an arrogant stance that most of the community couldn’t make sense of. Marketing was virtually nonexistent. Publish transparent updates. Host community calls. Introduce liquidity incentives. Give clear answers to the dump rumors.
