10 years of life. One policy change. No protection. We’re calling for a fair transition for those already on the UK 10-year Long Residence route to ILR.

Half of UK universities face a deficit next year. Up to 50 could close. That is a sector in crisis. Simply blaming a tuition fee freeze and nudging fees up with inflation is not a plan. Where is the long-term strategy for higher education? #Universities #HigherEducation | @UCU

"You're gaslighting them again," Labour MP Jonathan Hinder says as he clashes with Lib Dem MP Mike Martin over immigration policy on #PoliticsLive bbc.in/4kh7mwZ

We integrated. We paid in. We followed the rules, for a decade. All of us entered the system before 2021 (Pre-Boris Wave), under the rules that existed then. If the government now says settlement should take 10 years, fair enough. But many of us have already done that, so why should we be asked to do another 10? Changing the rules after the fact is unfair and damaging. Transitional protections aren’t optional, they’re essential. @ShabanaMahmood, @MikeTappTweets and the @UKLabour government owe long-residency migrants clear answers, and fair transitional protections.
