+$1.05m for March My biggest wins in March were all long thermal coal stocks. This is a sector I'm very comfortable with and I knew they would be beneficiaries of the conflict in Iran. In general, the coal sector was slower to move than the O&G sector so there were a few attractive spots to size up with very good risk/reward. My biggest win came from NHC. This was very tricky to trade at the start of the month with a couple of big shake-outs. I took a $50k loss in the first one (10th of March), but added into the second one (17th of March). I was holding decent size before their results and thought the 10% gap down was a big overreaction. This ended up being a great spot to add size, and NHC climbed 20% over the next three days from that open. I traded around a core over the next couple of weeks, and fully exited on the 30th/31st of March. Other big wins came from TER and YAL (realised on 9th/10th of March). I also made almost $200k from trading WTI over various trades, predominantly long. My biggest loss came from YAL, which I initially entered short as a hedge for NHC. YAL proceeded to rip my face off and cost me almost $100k when it gapped up 4.5% on the 12th of March. Making $1m in a month is something I never imagined I would achieve. I was fortunate to have the right experience at the right time, and also lucky to get some great entries, particularly in NHC. One of my strengths has always been sizing up in asymmetric setups, and this served me very well during the month.

Germany is gearing up for war... Young men are no longer allowed to leave Germany without permission. Since January 1, 2026, all men between the ages of 17 and 45 must obtain permission if they intend to leave Germany for more than three months – regardless of whether it's for a semester abroad, a job, or an extended trip. This requirement now applies permanently and is no longer limited to situations of tension or defense, i.e., a concrete military threat. The change came into effect as part of the Military Service Modernization Act. Is this that male privilege and female oppression I've been hearing about?

Its way past time the Albanese government was transparent with about the fuel situation. If supplies have been secured, that's great. Show us a big board on a website with each tanker secured vs scheduled, so people can feel reassured instead of kept in the dark.

@hotaru_trader @pipcounterz Another ridiculous example of me manually closing out a trade vs where it actually closed. Ridiculous slippage.

When entering a trade, I record the total cost including slippage, but I do not record it when exiting. To be honest, many firms tend to have unfavorable slippage, so I accept it to some extent as part of the environment. Since I am not a scalper, I don’t consider it that important. However, depending on one’s trading style and approach, it can be a significant issue.

Reviews of For Traders, Bright Funded, and FundedElite are now live. With these, all 22 firms I have ever used are now reviewed. Over 8 years of trading experience, over 2 years with prop firms, and more than $300,000 in payouts received — with no affiliates or sponsors whatsoever. Honest reviews of The5ers, FTMO, Funded Next, Alpha Capital Group, Funding Pips, and many others are all publicly available. No lies, no exaggeration. There will be no affiliates or sponsors going forward either. I will continue to update my experiences in real time. propfirmlog.com @PropFirmMatch

@hotaru_trader @pipcounterz Thanks for the response. I had a few trades where my entires or stops were triggered quite far from the price action. E.g. this stop. At the time of trading, the spread was tiny, so the slippage makes no sense. All other experience with them has been positive so far.

Although my experience with Bright Funded is still limited, I don’t think there is a significant difference between the challenge phase and after passing. For USD/JPY and EUR/USD, I trade around 5–8 lots; for GOLD, 0.5–1 lot; and for BTC, about 0.5–1.5 lots. According to my records, my performance is slightly above average.

@hotaru_trader @pipcounterz Are you finding slippage issues on your funded Bright Funded account? I recently moved to funded with them and the slippage has been huge. It wasn't an issue in the challenge phase though.

Unfortunately, due to losses over the past one to two weeks combined with account suspensions for unclear reasons, my funded accounts have dropped below 1 million USD. I believe Alpha Capital Group, Funded Next, Funding Pips, and The5ers are the most reliable firms. I also have high hopes for ATFunded, Bright Funded, and Lark Funding. My goal is to reach a combined total of 1.5 million dollars across these firms and maintain it for one year each.
