Got notice from the council today that the TRO prohibiting cycles from part of Broad Street has been sealed. They had a ton of well-reasoned objections and decided "Nah, fuck that, it's round the Wrekin for you. We like shiny shiny."

When the authorities don't think you're worth protecting, this is what happens. The actions the police take affects drivers, but what about word of mouth? I don't think @WMPolice really appreciate how powerful this can... If the first step is taken.

@Adski11892 @GearFifth I had the same solvability matrix sent to me by Hants and I wrote to PCC saying it wasn't good enough ... passed straight to CC and a reply saying "not enough resources". But I know at least 4 of my reports to them of close passes led to prosecutions.

The ‘cycle lanes’ have been repainted by @LeicsCountyHall on Leicester Road in #Harborough. Only 60cm wide on this stretch which is narrower than many bike handlebars. 🤷‍♀️ 🤷‍♂️ 🤦🏻‍♂️

@4ChordsNoNet I hate the cyclist dismount signs, but it this case, I can not (from the photo) see any road for them to cycle on. Only the pavement as a possible route???

The first thing anyone should have to do when they become a local councillor is make three local journeys: one by bike, one in a wheelchair, and one with a buggy.

Dear @sainsburys S7 - after years of asking for bike parking, I went to try out the new ones today. I'm not sure who you consulted when you installed these, certainly not a #cyclist, but I for one shan't be using these, or your shop, until you have something better than this.

In light of the recent announcement from @shappsGrant regarding the introduction of a new law to deal with ‘killer cyclists’, and very much picking up from the thread done by @ormonroyd, I’ve had a little look on sentencing for killer drivers over the last year or so.

Name any killer cyclists who haven't faced jail time. Killer cyclists are punished far more harshly than killer drivers. Most killer drivers get off with no jail time.

@RushmoorCycleF Good work, takes a lot of time to properly analysis & respond to an LCWIP. Trying to develop & provide the correct strategy for walk/cycling is of critical importance for the future of any area. It’s extremely difficult, will require hard work, persistence & a lot of ingenuity.
