Lest We Forget... On August 6, 2011, Chief Petty Officer Navy SEAL Darrik Benson was one of 30 American service members who were killed in action during a mission in the Wardak Province of Afghanistan. A group of US Army Special Forces was on a mission to obtain a high value target in the Mountains of Afghanistan when they came under fire from opposition forces. A team of US Army and Afghanistan military members, along with 22 members of the Naval Special Warfare community, quickly responded to help suppress the opposition forces and assist with the evacuation of the high value target. While returning to base, the CH-47 Chinook Helicopter carrying the team was struck by a rocket propelled grenade, killing all members onboard. President Trump says it's time to start exposing the Republican Senators who are standing in the way of ending the filibuster. I hate to break it to the president - but that would be EVERY SITTING REPUBLICAN SENATOR. They are the ones who elected John Thune as their leader and so far not a single Republican senator has called for Thune to step down and not a single Republican senator has made an effort to remove Thune from power. The Republican senators talk a good game on X -- but that's all it is - talk.

Somewhat unsurprisingly, the first time the Army _officially_ demanded, in effect, that officers compromise their integrity was over AIDS. This was in the later 80s. The few troops who had it had to disappear for about a week a month for treatment. And their commanders were forbidden from telling their more immediate supervisors where they were. The order, however, though tacitly demanding a commander lie, only said that he could not say the troop had AIDS and was off for treatment. So there was one in my second company, a kid from Commo. He had to disappear for that week. (Note, there were two platoons in the company, Commo and Medical, for the leadership of which I was not supposed to be the rater or senior rater. However, the med platoon leader and the commo platoon sergeant preferred working for me to working for the Adjutant and CEO, respectively, so I was their rater and those were two of the four platoons, with scouts and mortars, that I thought of as really my company.) Canada has commanded anyone who owns a gun to turn it into the government. 97.5% of people who are registered as a gun owner have not shown up to turn their guns in. According to this slimeball politician, “compliance is not voluntary”. And after October 31st of this year, anyone who hasn’t surrendered their guns will have a government goon showing up at their door to take them by force. Folks, this is why we have to make sure the Democrats never have power again. They will try this in America eventually.
