Today’s shooting at the Islamic Center of San Diego is especially notable because it’s the same mosque where two of the 9/11 hijackers — Nawaf al-Hazmi and Khalid al-Mihdhar, who helped crash American Airlines Flight 77 into the Pentagon — spent significant time and received assistance from associates while living in the area.

Before we even find out who the shooters at the Islamic center in San Diego were, a few words worth mentioning:
1.If the shooters were motivated by hate of Muslims, that has nothing to do with the message against Islam, because isolated violent incidents do not change the fact that Islam is a political ideology with an agenda to take over the world and subjugate all nations.
2.If the shooters were motivated by hate of Muslims, the false term Islamophobia still should not be tolerated, because it is a fake term designed to protect the ideology from scrutiny, not to protect Muslims.
3.If the shooters were motivated by hate of Muslims, they still cannot be equated with Muslim terrorists, because Muslim terrorists are motivated by a theological doctrine that Muslims actively defend, while hate is not a theological doctrine and is not defended by anyone.
4.Hatred of Muslims is rejected. Hatred of Islam should be encouraged.

***UPDATE*** on Anti-Semitic Attack in Golders Green – 18/05/2026
Police attended the scene on The Grove in Golders Green within minutes, but suspects were not located. Victim sustained injuries to his face and back and was taken to hospital.
Police confirmed the incident is being treated as a racially and religiously aggravated offence, and being investigated by the Hate Crime Unit.
Shomrim who have remained in close contact with police have gathered CCTV and enquiries are ongoing.
Additional patrols have been deployed in the area to provide reassurance and support to the local community.

In the past hour I’ve been informed of an attack that took place last night in the heart of Golders Green, NW London, at around 2am Monday morning. Five masked men heard an Israeli speaking Hebrew on his telephone outside the building he lived, and violently attacked him. I’ve been told that the attackers used Arabic curse words against him while beating and kicking him, and his clothes were torn at the same time. He was left on the ground bleeding and close to losing consciousness. A neighbour looked out of the window and called police, but the five suspects were gone by the time officers and an ambulance arrived. Police are looking for suspects and any help from the public would be welcome by contacting the Metropolitan Police Service. I cannot comment further on this worrisome attack at this time by suspects, allegedly speaking Arabic. However this is a serious escalation in the heart of the Jewish community.

I just spoke to the young Israeli man attacked in Golders Green. After he was heard speaking Hebrew on the phone, a group of young men in hoodies asked if he was Jewish. Then, they beat him for over five minutes.
Throughout the attack, they repeatedly called him “Yehudi” - Jew.
He told me he feared for his life. “It’s a miracle I’m not badly injured,” he said. “The state of London is sad and scary, but it’ll get even worse.”
