Fuentes is very lucky he did not get hit with harsher charges. He didn't just pepper spray that poor woman, he shoved her down a set of stairs and could have seriously injured her. She was clearly not a threat to him and he chose to open the door instead of ignoring her.

@1ClassyBastard @MrLeadslinger Newton's being force and joules being energy, hitting a mailbox is about 630 joules (6300n x .1 meters = 630) and tannerite is set off by 5.56 which has 1700 joules of energy so youd be a little short in the energy department to set off tannerite.

Weird how this is the litmus test. Whether you reinforce your mailbox with concrete or install some heavy steel box, what difference does it make? Is it your responsibility to make sure your property is easy to break or steal so people don’t get hurt when they make that choice?

This post is an excellent litmus test for understanding of just war theory. Despite the fact that I can see how effective this would be, I must oppose it because the damage it would do to my enemy (who bashes in my mailbox) would far outweigh the good of saving my mailbox. Its disproportionality is opposed by our duty in charity (and even justice) to watch out even for the good of our enemies. (Yes, by the way, I have had my mailbox bashed in by random vandals.)
