As some of you may know, our Credit Union, along with a number of other Credit Unions, has been campaigning against the withdrawal of a product called the Family Protection Plan, which began as a funeral plan for a small minority of our members back in 2005. The Coalition of Credit Unions took the campaign to London yesterday, where the Economic Secretary to the Treasury, Lucy Rigby KC MP, kindly hosted us and several other interested parties. We are hopeful that the meeting will offer a positive way forward and, as ever, we stand in principle and solidarity with those most affected.
