Anna Mae Blessing was arrested in July 2018 for the sh*oting death of her 72-year-old son Thomas in Fountain Hills, Arizona, after he made plans to move her into an assisted living facility. She had concealed two handguns in her robe pockets and confronted Thomas and his girlfriend as they lay in bed asleep. When detectives asked what she could offer society, she replied: "I k*lled my son. The person I brought into this world." She died in jail hospice in January 2019 before her trial could begin.
