If every school implemented a few things I think we could turn it around. 1 - First class every day for the entire school is pushups, sit-ups & Squats. 2 - Remove the junk, get back to reading, writing, math, fixing stuff, rifle classes, cooking/bbqing, self-defense. 3 - Cut class time down to 4-6 hours a day. 4 - Teach about taxes, money management, how to grocery shop. (this is if we don't destroy the Fed ;) ) 5 - Jr High should be picking a skilled trade and about the laws of the land. Then high school should be starting a business with mentors and by the time you leave, you should be self-sufficient, making money and doing something you enjoy. Every other path seems silly.
