To fund an overextended empire, Roman emperors debased their coins by diluting the precious metal content. This week, Congress will vote to eliminate the PENNY, which was already mostly zinc since 1982. The same bill will allow the U.S. Mint to make NICKELS with cheaper metal.

Wow, Jay Collins admitted to getting destroyed at the recent FL gubernatorial debate: “I would give myself a C or C+ maybe.” You have to bring your A-game at all times as governor. I can think of other candidates who are more prepared to lead.

One of our awesome interns, Noah, just hit 1,000 doors knocked this weekend. Amazing. Had to give the young man a call and thank him for his hard work. He’s studying abroad this fall, but we have him for a few more weeks. Campaigns are won one door at a time — we can’t do it without patriots like Noah.

And right now, it is important that our long-range sanctions pressure on Russia be reinforced through new sanctions steps by our partners.
