Sea ice, such as at the North Pole/Arctic Ocean, is already floating in the water. It is frozen seawater lying on the ocean. According to Archimedes’ principle, floating ice displaces exactly its own weight in water. When the ice melts, it turns into water that occupies exactly the same volume as the ice previously displaced. Therefore, the water level does not rise. And that is physics!!
