@joenutt_author @Strickomaster I tend to think there are too many assistant heads. Often not good. There’s too much delegation from the head. Poor AH training. Head often not good. A lot of SLT work relates to Ofsted prep. Often v hard to get staff to do over 1265. Duties for example. AH will.

@dolleyolley @BehaviourHead We always dispose of them, they are never returned.

@BehaviourHead By all means take vapes off them during school hours, but give it back to an appropriate adult afterwards (presuming the kids are under 18). It's not your property.

@kburton95 Oops, it looks like the North and West degrees are the wrong way around.

@tombennett71 I agree with this wholeheartedly, but will OFSTED when they next visit my school? Our exclusions have increased year upon year and in their latest inspection (May ‘24) they said the number of children who are repeatedly suspended is too high.
English

A secondary question is then, ‘Why is there more behaviour requiring suspensions etc?’ And that’s often a societal question. Why are some behaviours on the increase? What fuels this at home, and in society more broadly. These are important questions. But it’s asking the impossible to commission schools and teachers to answer or fix them from the classroom. Our job is to educate, and provide an environment that is safe, calm and dignified, for as many as possible.
English

A question to ask anyone worried about the exclusion statistics is: what’s the *right* level of suspensions and exclusions? And ‘how do you know it’s too high?’ If police catch more burglars than before, what’s more important, that the figure has increased, or that people are now safer? Sometimes, these things can be an indication of a system working, not one that’s broken.

@Alan_Couzens Thanks, Alan. Your snippets of advice on endurance training are gold and I appreciate they go against the frustrating grain. I often bookmark most of your tweets.

@brady_h Your ride is absolutely possible. I averaged 165w during a 70.3 two weeks and did the leg in 2:36. Just gotta be aero 😉.
