@JayRochester_ @Cookie2148 We have Soldier's leaving at 40, that are still "in the fight" it is crazy that we are putting them out to pasture. But I also agree with @Mike_Owens_4638 only though merit and fitness tests should be considered for further service past 22/24 years.

@Cookie2148 This should be the norm for soldiers least not just officers. It’s mental that we still time people out at 22(24) years. It’s expensive and puts pressure on recruitment and retention. I may be hated for this, but it’s common sense, make all careers last longer from the start.

Serving Officers - would you like to serve longer (circa age 60) BUT have to slow down promotion a fraction (extra year at Lt Col, & Col etc) to get there? Longer service or quicker promotion? What say you?
