The fiber reinforced polycarbonate models are the cheapest price at around $60 on Amazon and the price goes up from there. I own a polycarbonate model and it’s literally handled situations better than a Luminox I paid 5x more for. It is a hoss. The metal ones start around $125

The problem with raising the capital gains tax is that people are irrational about taxes and will do almost anything to avoid paying them, even if it’s actually not in their long-term economic interest. This is a problem because capital gains taxes are optional, in the sense that most people, in most situations, can decide when to sell. It’s not like a paycheck that you get on the schedule. Ask anybody who has done real estate for a long time how many instances they’ve known of where people made really stupid real estate decisions in order to avoid capital gains.
