Terrified passengers scream as Croatia Airlines jet veers off runway in dramatic aborted take-off at Split Airport A Croatia Airlines Airbus A220-300 bound for Frankfurt suddenly swerved left off the runway while accelerating for take-off on Saturday. Video from inside the cabin shows 130 passengers screaming in terror as the plane left the tarmac and ploughed onto the grass. The crew rejected the take-off at high speed in line with safety procedures and brought the aircraft to a safe stop. No one on board was injured. All passengers and crew safely disembarked and were taken back to the terminal. Croatian authorities have launched an investigation and recovered the cockpit voice recorder. Chief investigator Danko Petrin said: “The investigation has only just started and extensive technical analyses are being carried out to determine the cause.”

Congrats to @virginmedia for being perhaps the WORST company I’ve ever had the misfortune of dealing with in Britain. Three engineer visits, five plus calls to Indian call centres, and still you can’t activate the TV contract you upsold me when I simply called to get my connection back. Awful, awful business model.

@jomickane @Benleo @virginmedia Don’t got to virgin honestly they’re horrendous to deal with I ended up cancelling within a cooling off period. They arsed up my set up & trying to speak to anyone with half a brain cell is near impossible. Foreign call centre they kept cutting me off or transfer to dead lines.
