Vikram K. Doraiswami, India's newly appointed Ambassador to China, adopted the Chinese name Wei Jiameng. Out of curiosity, I ended up decoding his Chinese name: Wei: This is a powerful, ancient dynastic surname (The Kingdom of Wei). It gives the Ambassador historical weight. Jia: Means to add/increase. Meng: Means alliance/covenant. By calling himself Wei Jiameng, the ambassador is publicly labeling himself as "The Great Builder of Alliances."

Pleased to interact with the Ambassadors from EU countries today. Spoke to them about the current state of the world with volatility and instability as the new normal. Made a case for stronger 🇮🇳-🇪🇺 relations that will: ➡️ Derisk the world economy by cooperating on resilient supply chains; ➡️ Reassure the international community by providing public goods like HADR, anti-piracy operations, development projects etc. ➡️ Stabilise the global order through stronger trade, mobility and security partnership. Exactly a year ago I'd the opportunity to take young entrepreneurs to @Zoho HQ & the pleasant surprise was the now Zoho CEO, #ShaileshDavey taking the time to share candidly with young founders. The #memorable #engagement included his #insights on what could #GenZ folks who are unsure of support for their entrepreneurial goals do: If you don't have much #clarity now, commit yourself to working with a #startup or an early to mid-sized company that's roughly aligned with your interests. Stay in the space for at least three years, where you get to work across multiple departments and multiple roles. In large companies, you may get slotted into a narrow function.

Thanks to the team behind this. This engine’s size is staggering. Despite it concealing 1000s of components & looking benign, if you stand next to it, it rises tall & it is hard to not think about the flow geometry complexity & the quantum of energy conversion this engine will do

My best friend died almost a decade ago from a heart attack. He was running on the treadmill while we were all on vacation together. After this horrific accident, I started to take my cardiovascular health seriously and began seeing Dr. Karlsberg - who is probably the best Cardiologist in America. Every few years I get a CCTA. I started to take a statin as well as some Omega-3s and a baby aspirin. So far, so good - my cholesterol is in check and I have 0 calcium although my particle size isn't great.
