I think it was already tried by previous civilizations and didn’t work out in the long run. Better yet, let’s build a death ray on the moon. Point it to the earth and get everyone to live as we want them to, or else, you know the alternative. As a backup to the lunar dome defensive weapons we can put a self destruct nuke on the moon as an insurance policy against terrorism. Dn dn dnnn. ‘Suspenseful pause.’ Then set it to autopilot or AI control, of course in our image before we ride off to Neptune together. Through these innovative technological advancements, specifically in regard to space travel and weaponized lasers, I believe we can achieve lasting world peace.

I’m just going to bank on that when I shed my body and get my new one I’ll be better off forever than the controllers ever will be and that’s the true irony of reality. In the classic movie “The Time Machine”, the Morlock’s were depicted as a culturally developed human that was decent enough to build it’s data centers underground so that the Eloi could live in a blissful paradise, most of the time, without being constantly forced to witness the destruction of natural resources(drinking water), heat, and pollution by those data centers. The scientists who wrote the "lab leak is a conspiracy theory" letter? They organized it themselves then told each other they needed "the appearance of independence." Both were paid intel informants. Both worked with the Wuhan lab. One scientist called it genetically engineered. Days later he wrote the opposite. Then got a $9 million grant. No conspiracy required. Just people covering their own tracks.

@MmisterNobody Perspective matters. Doing it to say “hi” to people and have a human interaction with them resulting in a net positive outcome for everyone. For some people this type of lifestyle is satisfying.

Do you know what one of the biggest problems nowadays is? We have a massive pretending problem. People pretend everything is fine because everyone else is doing the same thing. Wake up, work a 9–5 for 40 hours a week for decades, and call that “life.” Most people never stop to question it. Parents often spend their whole lives pretending too, then pass that mindset down to their kids, telling them it’s normal because it’s what everyone before them did. Whether people realize it or not, a lot of society runs on silent acceptance and pretending.
