As far as we're concerned, Sen. Lee, you are in the same vein as Trey Gowdy, Paul Ryan, Mitt Romney, Ben Sasse, Lindsey Graham, and even John McCain to a certain extent when it comes to confronting Thune and pushing through the Save Act. All friggin big-ass talk but not an iota of success except to drag this crap out week after week after week. Y'all will lose the mid-terms and then can go back to comfortable second place as the county spins back down the drain. If you don't like this sort of blow-back on you, Sen. Lee, then you must spend every second in front of Thune's face pushing him to at least get a talking filibuster going. YOU GUYS WON"T EVEN DO THAT!!!!

I’m probably not the best person to articulate his position. It is up to him and his staff to explain what he does, what he doesn’t do, and why. He holds regular press conferences and is frequently answering questions like yours. Here’s my best guess as to what he might say if you asked that question: he’d probably focus on the fact that there are other matters that require our attention and we don’t have 60 votes for this bill. My response to that argument is that every once in a while, the bill comes along that is sufficiently important that it warrants an approach that’s a little outside the box. This is such a bill. The Civil Rights Act of 1964 was also such a bill. Like the SAVE America Act, the Civil Rights Act didn’t have enough votes to get passed cloture when it arrived in the Senate following its passage in the House. The Senate debated the bill for weeks, with the intention of continuing to debate it until it passed. It took weeks, but it worked. It could work here. Is it hard? Yes. Is the outcome uncertain? Absolutely. But it would work—one way or another—and we owe it to this country on the eve of its 250th anniversary to do everything we possibly can to pass it. Let’s go!

When I speak in support of the SAVE America Act, some Republicans tell me to stop, insisting that it’s a lost cause and we have to move on Others chime in to say “remove Thune or your words mean nothing” I emphatically reject both of these arguments I explain why in this video

@farleyxsanchez @BasedMikeLee @BasedHenryClay1 He won't confront Thune directly. No Republican senator has either the balls, or the will, to confront Thune. What other reason can there be when conservatives have been howling at Lee and Thune for frigging months!!!

@BasedMikeLee @BasedHenryClay1 So you don't even know where Thune stands and you have to guess what his position might be? Not very helpful. How about confronting Thune directly and reporting on that exchange? Posting personal suppositions and guesses is not useful.

This is why we conservatives have just about had it with Republicans. Thune KNOWS the Save Act is the most important item as far as conservatives are concerned. You say, "...he’d probably focus on the fact that there are other matters that require our attention..." Bingo!! There is the disconnect. We've been patient for YEARS, Mike. That patience has run out. Hear that?? We have NO MORE PATIENCE!!!

🚨 JUST IN: Elon Musk just said the SAVE AMERICA ACT is the "ONLY WAY to save democracy in America" SEN. MIKE LEE: "Senate Republicans should focus on nothing else until it becomes law." THEY'RE RIGHT! 🇺🇸 "The SAVE America Act is controversial only among Democrats in Congress. Everywhere else it’s common sense." We just proved it can get 50 VOTES in the Senate. It just needed 60. If the filibuster were gone, this would be *LAW*!

Per GROK. You're full of crap and wasting air. Dealing with you is like a doctor administering medicine to a dead person. "Could It Reach Hundreds of Millions Over a Year? No, that would be extraordinarily unlikely and unrealistic for GPR grave-searching work. Even a very large, complex, year-long project (e.g., hundreds of acres with ultra-high resolution, multiple teams, extensive data processing, reporting, and integration with other surveys) would likely top out in the low-to-mid hundreds of thousands or possibly low millions at most—depending on scope. Daily rates over 365 days at the high end ($5k/day) would be under $2 million before efficiencies or scaling. •The entire global GPR equipment market is only valued in the hundreds of millions annually, providing scale context. Factors like repeated passes, poor soil (reducing efficiency), regulatory requirements, or combining with excavation/verification could increase costs, but not to hundreds of millions. That level would require something like a massive infrastructure project (e.g., highway corridors) or something far beyond standard grave location." The long and the short is that the tribe/s scammed Canadians out of hundreds of millions of dollars, there was no oversight, and fools like you are just propaganda machines with zero credibility

@JeremyP04326648 @389TH566TH @jonkay How are they grifters? It cost hundreds of million to search these sites across Canada - More searches outside of school grounds can lead anywhere and requires a reason to search. We had a reason to search the schools because this is were they placed graveyards.

Read the article before you sound even more uninformed. "Nor has Ottawa provided clarity on how the hundreds of millions of dollars sent to First Nations to establish whether the soil anomalies are human remains have been spent." That means there was no oversight required when shelling our hundreds of millions of dollars. NO OVERSIGHT! So how can you say it was used to search for remains? You're just wishfully spouting garbage.

@RBYW42 @jonkay BS!! The key to this story is the Canadian Indian tribe lied their asses off, received hundreds of millions of dollars, and over 100 Christian churches burned as a result of the vicious lie. Quit being a useful idiot - idiot.

Now you're being down-right disgusting. I don't know your politics but your, "I feel sorry for you(r) kids" BS response is typical Leftist crap. Meaning, don't respond to the original point, just start calling names and flipping out disparaging nonsense. I didn't demean you in any way, just pointed out that when you make accusations, how about following up with some sort of proof. You didn't. You just insinuate that somehow I must be a bad father. Shame on you. Don't even bother replying. I'm done with you.

Negativity sells, and while I have my own issues with the Trump administration, every day they deliver. Most people compare whatever Trump is doing today, to some utopian fantasy, rather than the hellhole Kamala Harris was turning the U.S. into.

It’s an insurrection only when Republicans do it. It’s partisan gerrymandering only when Republicans do it. It’s “norm shattering” only when Republicans do it. Please like and share if you’re tired of the double standard.

What is happening in this video from the Tennessee State Capitol is empirically worse than anything that happened on January 6th. Question: Should we expect libs to throw a new J6 every time they lose — Is this the norm? Its happened 100 times this year

Random Friday evening thought - it’s been a long, hard week despite the low posting frequency. Vibe coding is bringing on a new age of cyber in-security. Don’t trust any software outside of established Big Tech. Don’t fill out random forms online if you can help it. GTFO Ice, launched by Miles Taylor, a so-called security expert with Google, is going to learn this the hard way. Tomorrow.

All you do is "call". If you and the republicans in the senate fail the SAVE America Act you are nothing but pompous asses. Just like Rep. Ryan and Sen. McConnell hamstrung Trump's first term first two years, you jackasses are hamstringing Trump this time. Remember what happened during Trump's first term? The House lost to the Democrats in the midterms. If that happens again this midterm, y'all will NEVER be forgiven. We conservatives are THIS close, THIS CLOSE!!!, to never believing anything that spews outa your mouths during election season.

@DeeGarRtrBlds @FLManStan @grok @william_f_cody Regardless, a lot of people seem to focus their anger on those of us calling for more aggressive action in the Senate—on the filibuster, the SAVE America Act, and otherwise—by suggesting that we’re the problem.

I’m tired of the Senate’s evergreen excuse for inaction: “We don’t have 60 votes.” There are ways around the 60-vote cloture standard. It’s time to start using them. And stop disingenuously characterizing any refusal to do so as virtuous or conservative. Share if you agree.

@LouisBabcock12 @3DogFriends @FLManStan @grok @william_f_cody I don’t shy away from hard things. But with good reason, I choose not to pursue efforts that are certain to (1) lose, and (2) in the process, make what I care about (including the SAVE America Act) LESS likely to succeed, not more.

"But in practice, that kind of meeting tends not to materialize unless a solid majority of the conference wants it to happen." This is why you and the Republican senate is broken. You're more than worthless as the Democrats play you every time. YOU ARE THE MAJORITY DAMN IT!!!!

Your question suggests five senators could oust him in the middle of his term as leader. That’s not true. In the House of Representatives, a tiny number of lawmakers can oust the speaker—at any time. That feature is unique to the House. In the Senate GOP we don’t even have a rule or procedure for replacing a leader in the middle of a two-year term. It is true that under our rules, any five senators can call for a meeting of the entire conference at any time. But in practice, that kind of meeting tends not to materialize unless a solid majority of the conference wants it to happen. Even if such a meeting were called and even if it actually materialized, it still wouldn’t end as you seem to assume. To pursue the outcome you’re suggesting, one would have to use that meeting to propose a new procedure for a mid-term leadership swap, and that—at a minimum—would require a majority of the conference to support it. For a whole host of reasons—including the fact that Senator Thune is beloved by colleagues and very popular within the conference—the odds of that happening are literally 0 in 100,000.

@NickAPappas @BasedMikeLee Mike Lee is the one least affected by it as he's the one consistently pushing the Save Act, smaller government and is the most constitutionalist Senator in congress. So you should probably be saying "be less weak and dumb" to RINOs.

Have you ever wondered why the U.S. government seems always to get bigger, more powerful, and more expensive, even when Republicans are in charge? I’m convinced it has a lot to do with the way the left has weaponized the Capitol Hill press corps. The Capitol Hill press consists overwhelmingly of far-left progressive activists. In the Senate, they follow lawmakers from meeting to meeting in the hallways, aggressively interrupting conversations and barking questions that sound faintly journalistic but are little more than progressive talking points. Many of their questions seem far more designed to move lawmakers to the left—and shame us when we don’t—than to elicit information with any journalistic objectivity. It appears to be working, as Republican lawmakers routinely help Democrats enact Democrat priorities. Meanwhile, you essentially never see Democrats helping Republicans enact conservative priorities. While it’s difficult to prove the causal connection between this aggressive form of “journalistic advocacy” and Republican lawmakers’ eagerness to advance the ball for Democrats, I’m firmly convinced that the left is getting its money’s worth out of this exclusive lobbying force—which has no significant, conservative counter-balance. It’s arguably the most effective lobbying force money can buy.
