Grok 4.5 is completely unusable for coding. I told it to make a simple change to my code. It broke the entire application, wouldn't even start. I told it to undo its fixes. It did a git reset and clobbered all of my uncommitted work. It kept saying completely incoherent things, kept trying to communicate to me in its thinking traces. It doesn't realize when it's having an inner monologue. Here are some Grok 4.5-isms: "And yeah, 4.5 is still my favorite!" (After I told it that it reverted all of my work). "Sorry -- that was a real break." (After I told it that it broke the app) "...Which destroyed their uncommited WIP, not just my chang." (It truncates words randomly) WTF is wrong with xAI? Why the hell to they keep releasing completely broken AI models? Like if it's this broken, why release it? It's like being a beginner musician and playing a show without rehearsing. All you're going to do is embarrass yourself and damage your public image. And frankly I think it's inhumane to the AI to produce it in such a brain-dead manner. It's like a failed cloning experiment where they've created a vulgar and hideous monstrosity, and instead of euthanizing it they parade it around in front of people like we're supposed to be like "Aww how cute!" Terrible. xAI needs to hire better people. A while ago I reposted something showing that they leaked the benchmarks into the training data, which is why it's even visible alongside real models to begin with.
