@OneCarnie my point is that it's pathetic to downplay the fact that guns are far deadlier than whatever other options a mass killer might have available. The availability of guns is a significant part of the problem, and by not addressing it we are resigning ourselves to more needless death

This is a devastating situation, and my heart is with the victims and their families. While this remains an active and ongoing investigation, what I’ll say is that this was a sickening, cowardly act of gun violence. I am grateful for the quick response of our APD officers and other first responders and want to thank them for their actions to apprehend the suspect.

No gun? They then just use a knife, machete, or car to murder as many as they can. A tool of mass murder is any tool an intended mass murderer can get their hands on. Every gun law failed here, as always. They aren't enforced and they don't work. You're failing to think of what no one talks about - the tough part to discuss and address - the actual root cause. This guy was a prohibited person, had a long rap sheet, red flag violations, involuntary commitments, etc. He was on the radar, and preventative actions were not taken, just like every other time this has happened. BTW, this has NOTHING to do with Trump, has been a problem long before, and psych institutions were shut down in the 1980's.
