Its economy was deliberately destroyed, and its people massacred. The Eritrean government's failure since independence to hold Ethiopia accountable has emboldened the current regime to threaten another invasion. We must hold Ethiopia accountable for its crimes from 1962 to 1991. We must also find a lasting solution to prevent the fact that all four Ethiopian governments in the last 80 years made it their mission to invade us. This should not be allowed to burden the next generation of Eritreans.
