Meanwhile, in MN … (bear with me here).Borrowed from a great friend.
The Dems (DFL) held the trifecta in the state legislature for the last few years. They squandered our $18B surplus, and increased taxes, while enshrining abortion up to the moment of birth into law, and making us a sanctuary state for child abuse via the “transing” of children. Close to $500M in fraud has been discovered on their watch.
The GOP neutered that in November. The House was tied, 67-67, but a DFL candidate who won was fraudulent in his campaign b/c he failed the residency requirement, so his seat is vacant. A special election was called to take place in less than 30 days.
AND, in another race where the DFL candidate won by 14 votes, it was discovered that 20 ballots were thrown away. THROWN AWAY!!! And 30 ballots were counted twice!!! That’s still in court and no special election has been called yet.
So when the DFL thought everything was tied in the House they entered into a power sharing agreement (which is common), but now that the GOP has a 1-seat majority until the special election on Jan. 28, the stompy-footed DFL children who were elected are threatening to not show up for the first day of session on Tuesday, Jan. 14 if the GOP doesn’t agree to power sharing. And why should we? We have the majority b/c they put up a fraudulent candidate!
The sinister (DFL) Secretary of State is trying to say 68 members constitutes a quorum to pass bills, but that’s only true if all seats are filled. The GOP found that out in 1979.
So here’s the kicker: If DFL House members don’t show up on Jan. 14 and get sworn in, their seats become vacant and a special election could be called to replace every single one of them.
AT THE SAME TIME, the DFL had a 1-seat majority in the Senate, until a DFL Senator passed away last month after a cancer battle. A special election was also called for that seat, in less than 30 days. The GOP has a great candidate for that race, Abigail Wolters for Minnesota Senate, and if we win we control the Senate!
There is ALSO the matter of a current DFL Senator who has been allowed to keep her seat, despite being charged with felony burglary after she drove hundreds of miles in the middle of the night and (allegedly) broke into her elderly stepmother’s house to steal her father’s remains and other items. She is on video saying, “I’m not very good at this.”
The DFL lost seats in November and now they’re trying to play games to keep their power. But Gov. Tim Walz as the VPOTUS candidate exposed his lies about his military service and showed the world what a power-hungry, Marxist buffoon he is.
We have disenfranchised DFL voters on our side, but we need EVERY GOP voter in SD60 (Northeast Mpls) and HD40B (Roseville area) to vote on Tuesday, Jan. 14 (primary) and Jan. 28 (general) to win these seats.
Gov. Walz has tried to make MN in the image of CA. Tragic wildfires notwithstanding as a reason to reject that, we have an opportunity to take back MN from the stranglehold of failed DFL policies that have made MN a less desirable place to live.
