@CherylSchatz Take it up with God's word. Romans 8..."All things work together for good to them that love God" Satan may think he is getting glory, similar to when Christ died but God is in control. Not Satan. Christ's death was the death nail to Satan yet he thought it was victory.

@ShaneSchaetzel Most Roman Catholics aren't part of the catholic church. I'll admit a large number of protestants aren't part of the catholic church either. Christ knows hearts. He knows whom he died for. I look forward to worshipping with those folks for eternity.

My position on Protestants is very clear and consistent. They are Christians and they are brethren, by virtue of the sacrament of Trinitarian baptism. However, they are not above criticism. I’m pretty soft with the Protestants — actually — and I even give praise where it is due.

I was a Protestant for half a century. I have never heard a preacher provide a rational explanation for this⬇️. It was simply assumed (sometimes, perhaps, with a shrug). Little did I know that researching it for myself would lead me to become a Catholic.

Jesus was a young earth creationist; so, to call anything else Christian is a stretch. When? Here— “But at the beginning of creation God ‘made them male and female.’ ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.’ So they are no longer two, but one. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate.” Mark 10:6-9 In the Greek, this is Jesus using ellipsis to summarize God’s prefall Creation Plan by stringing together three verbatim verses from the Septuagint: verse 1.1; verse 1.27; & verse 2.24. In doing this, Jesus implied Genesis is literal and that chapter 1 & 2 are a harmonious whole.
