Happy birthday to my younger brother Ming. Ming waited 13 years to come here under my sponsorship. Mamdani says he didn't even know about the UN Ambassador for Iran's attempt to set up a meeting with his Commissioner for International Affairs until the press started asking about it. Um, WE'RE AT WAR with Iran. The moment that request came in, his Commissioner should have immediately said NO, that's not a possibility. And maybe an attempt by Iran to bypass Washington and talk to the administration of America's biggest city would be important information for the Mayor to not just know, but pass along to the President. But then again, this is the same guy who spent the Fourth of July trashing America and the free market. And his International Affairs Commissioner is a progressive immigrant rights activist with zero foreign affairs experience. So, I can't say I'm surprised.
