I recently started playing Expedition 33. I then updated DLSS 4 to DLSS 4.5, and noticed a visible degradation in image quality (to much sharpening), as well as performance hit (60 FPS -> 50 FPS; ~ -17%). What happened? A thread. 🧵(1/8) #Nvidia #DLSS

@Metheos_SHIP10 @EML_NGS I never denied Line Strike was a side thing. I was primarly refering to the fact that the only hint we had on Sega working on any PSO-related recently turned out to be Line Strike and that there will be no PSO3 or something in the foreseable future.

@EML_NGS Whenever Sega develops something PSO-related, it usually has the Codeword "Oxy" internally. Oxy -> PSO ??? -> PSO2JP OxyNA -> PSO2 Global Oxymantis -> PSO2NGS Hopes were good for a moment when it leaked that "Oxyhudson" was in dev. However, that turned out to be LINE STRIKE.

@RinoTheBouncer I can see where the developers of Expedition 33 went when they decided to dedicate almost 2 hours at the start of the game to build the world, characters and story through plenty of vague hinting. But man, towards the end I would have probably not endured with it without VC.

@anxientkana Examples? Subclassing barely anything than passive buffs over what happened with Balancing in Base. They already tried to remove them before with Scions and failed. Update 2.0: "People didn't like what we did with the Openworld. So we exclusively focus on Instanced Content now".

@anxientkana NGS suffers from the devs "playing" to safely. In the very DNA of it you find numerous instances of them removing something or insisting to go down one path over fear of backlash. The game is barely enough of an MMORPG to excuse being compared to FFXIV and such, not VRChat or SL.

"I hope your gacha game EoSes." is weaksauce, common and honestly corny. "I hope your game becomes a sandbox for Sonic games and will be kept alive a husk of its former glory" is real, has happened, and will continue to happen.
