I’ve heard it said every person has a core question they ask themselves and desperately need answered. It can help us understand our core beliefs and longings. I’m curious what yours is. Am I ___________ enough?

@BrentBeshore What if it was something you do because you're fit? Build a timber frame shed using hand tools. Hike some number of Colorado 14'ers in a weekend. Make it about experiences which would only be available to people who are fit to the level you desire.

Here's a thought experiment I'd love help with... I'm almost 42. I want to set 3-5 ambitious fitness goals to work towards when I'm 50 that would require I'm lean and well-rounded. Currently, I have 1) a sub-20 minute 5K and 2) 20+ pullups. What else?

@AustinTunnell If you don't mind... what are the creme and green swatch colors in these photos? Really like that combination.

Moving on into the kitchen. Reminder: a 2 story, 2,200 sq/ft house (3 bed 2.5 bath) Did a dropped ceiling over the stove and peninsula to shape the space and create a cafe-like feel. Walk in pantry is through that reeded glass, red oak door. Windows up high above sink letting in light, with open shelves for more decorative dishes. Not a rule, but we often stay away from vent hoods that drop down. I just personally don’t like them—usually. I prefer a cleaner look like this. Backsplash is countertop material—Carrara. Have found these little shelves above stoves are quite practical. And also like potential for art above Free standing, custom made walnut island for a more European, lived-in vibe. I really like these moon pulls on the cabinet drawers. Aged, unlacquered brass so will slowly patina. Note the paneling that relates to the crown—has a stepped effect. A little deco nod.

People make fun of Florida way too much. It's really a great place to live. At a college financial seminar, and breathed a sigh of relief/gratitude at this stat: FL offers cheapest in-state tuition at public universities within US.

@studdy_ai @garrytan definitely a UI decision point. Do you make the user navigate separate lens threads or bring lenses into one thread? Color of avatar probably not enough to help user remember the lens they are in over time but especially important if user can only get whats needed in certain lens

@5Watts @garrytan Hmmm, I'm thinking we can identify the problem type and the lens, and then kindly prompt a user to try the best lens for the job instead!

Studdy (YC S23) will fix education with LLMs, starting with teaching any kid at any age any math problem (from 2nd grade to AP Calculus) And they just added Chem, Physics, and Biology There's some evidence this app is more effective than 1:1 tutoring ycombinator.com/launches/JDE-s…

@studdy_ai @garrytan Thanks @studdy_ai ! I'll check that out over in math lens. Would it be reasonable to expect the Summary lens to still get math problems correct? Thinking about students inadvertently stumbling into a place which is/isn't designed to help them.

@5Watts @garrytan Hi Matthew, it may not be clear, but if Studdy is blue, you're on the Summary and not the Math lens. I recommend switching to the Math Lens (yellow), and enabling step-by-step mode. Click the '?' to get help on a particular step! Hope this helps.

School limits learning by forcing kids to learn at the speed of their age-level, not their skill-level. The smart kids are bored, the struggling ones can't keep up, and both are worse off for it.

@SkinnerPm Neighbor had a plant that grew under my fence and produced this red cone. Always wondered what it was. So it is pinecone ginger?

Visited my aunt on the southside of town and her wonderful property. She has some HUGE pinecone ginger (bitter ginger, shampoo ginger, Hawaiian Awapuhi) that I will now grow in Skinnerville. Nice to decompress and stare at quiet plants and trees for a while.

@patrick_oshag How do you fill in the blank to this question? “Am I ______ enough?” How a person completes that question is usually the motivating force for their actions, good and bad.

So begins my 17 miles across Orlando. In a McDonald’s with a homeless guy & fashionable Japanese tourist. Different place (grew up near here) then where else I walked so far. Less planned, more ad hock dealing with growth If I make it will end up somewhere north of here tonight
