@DevinOlsenn @greggertruck The average Tesla car payment is $600-$700. When you add insurance and then registration fees it’s even more. The additional $99 probably puts people out of their comfort zone

I spoke to a few people at a supercharger today and I asked the one guy if he has used FSD. He has a HW4 Y and he said “nope, too expensive. I don’t drive much at all so paying $99 a month doesn’t make sense” I’ve always argued that the value of FSD is undeniable - but for someone who does not drive much at all I could see it being hard to justify the cost. I wonder if a cost per km (mile) would ever make sense? Idk

It’s not that $99 is too much, it’s that it’s just a lot for something not everyone has fully adopted for everyday use yet. Evolve indeed.

@DevinOlsenn @mikepat711 I have the same bridge except one side has the right of way and other side has a stop. FSD can’t determine when to go and always proceeds after one car comes out even though there are more about to come that have the right of way.

Order by March 31st and transfer FSD *Orders* Lol jk no you can't It's not hard to see why people are mad about that. No one is trying to cancel Tesla or say the company is crap. We are sharing our frustration. If all someone does is praise the company, nothing they say matters anyway. It doesn't matter how much ppl doubt or get angry at the company anyway. According to autonomy day, there will be thousands of HW3 Robotaxis on the road making money for owners - existing vehicles won't need any hardware upgrades or changes.

Sad to see so many fans trashing Tesla with such extreme language. LIARS!!! PATHETIC!!! And if you aren’t as furious and angry as they are they are you’re “worshipping” and saying “they can do no wrong”. Let’s get real here. They’re not liars. They offered FSD transfer to us to sell more cars this quarter, and were even gracious enough to say if we can’t deliver it in time for the end of the quarter you can still do the transfer. But what they never promised is that we’ll let you transfer FSD through the end of 2027. Who knows, maybe they will offer FSD transfer in 2027, but they did not expect a 1 year+ Cybertruck backlog when they made the FSD transfer option. They meant if your delivery slips into April and it’s Tesla’s fault you still get your transfer. And they’re still honoring that: if you get a car with an estimated delivery date this quarter you can still transfer even if the delivery date slips into April. What a lot of people are missing is that we are now in the unsupervised FSD era. Many of these one year out Cybertruck reservations will be delivered with unsupervised FSD, where Tesla takes liability for any accidents. That doesn’t work out well financially if tons of people aren’t paying for FSD on their new cars. Look, I agree. I think Tesla should honor the transfer for people who want. I would like that and maybe even use it personally. But what i’m not really a fan of is the dramatization and people acting like spoiled kids over something pretty minor. The Tesla team and the Tesla community have allowed me to make a living doing what I love. The FSD product has changed my life for the better and keeps my friends and family safe. I love Tesla and while criticism is warranted sometimes the hatred here, towards both Tesla and others in the community, is a little over the top. In a way, it has actually created a moral hazard for Tesla. If they bend to pressure with people abusing them and trashing them publicly, then people will abuse and trash them publicly any time they want a policy changed. I think respectfully asking Elon & Tesla for a policy change here would go a long way more than calling them liars and cheaters just for trying to sell cars this quarter. Wake up guys. Tesla is in trouble. Sales are down year over year. People are pulling out of EV investments around the globe. Remember when people wanted to see EVs succeed rather than just worrying about getting things without having to pay for them? Call me what you want, but i’m going to tell people how great EVs are and how much self-driving will change their life. Telling them Tesla is horrible and evil is a lie that will keep them stuck in a shitty cars. EVs are getting attacked from every angle, why do we have to join in too? Thank you to those who are supporting Tesla, EVs, and AVs during this critical time.

Within 24 hours of @SawyerMerritt posting this (correctly), @Tesla did a massive rug pull and now won’t allow FSD transfers after March 31. Embarrassing to be associated with a company with such dishonorable tactics.

@greggertruck @Matt_E_Baumann It’s not a small part of the equation. Tesla is the most politicized company in the world because the CEO doesn’t stop. Yes the truck costs too much, but all Tesla owners who are honest understand that we own the most politicized vehicle on the road.

Undeniably a small part of the equation, but definitely not the big issue. The truck costs way more than it was supposed to. I’m gonna say it bluntly but I’m really sorry you were let go a couple years ago man. I’m sorry that you have a different perspective than the CEO, and that that differing political opinion has such a huge cloud on your judgment . But there’s 145,000 people that work incredibly hard at the company regardless of how they feel about the CEO in those optics. Let it go.

Elon was actually right about the Cybertruck production forecast of 250k per year. If it started at $39,990 Tesla would absolutely sale 250k+ annually. The $49,990 dual motor would have been the lions share of sales. If they delivered a $69,990 500 mile range tri motor, that would be been ludicrous. This would actually be the best selling truck in the world. How do we make this a reality @elonmusk
