Agree. Recommend reading Howard Marks’ book, Mastering the Market Cycle. Not about crypto, but nails the reasons why cycles play out – mirroring human psychology. They don’t repeat, but rhyme enough to help people who master the psychological element.

Yes, the 4-year cycle has held every single time. People hate hearing that but the data doesn't care. That said, I'm not a "4-year cycle believer" in the way most people mean it. I don't think there's some mystical force resetting Bitcoin every 4 years. What actually happens is that time-based price structure, macro liquidity cycles and halving supply shocks just happen to converge on a roughly 4-year rhythm. It's not a prophecy, it's just confluence. But here's what most people miss: cycles are meant to evolve. As Bitcoin matures... ETFs, institutional custody, sovereign adoption the drawdowns get naturally shallower, the accumulation phases shift and eventually the pattern of price starts to changes shape on a macro scale. The 4-year cycle isn't dead yet, but it won't look like this forever.

@JustDeauIt Compliance is a big issue. Orbs were everywhere a few years ago here in Spain - even helped a few non-crypto native in-laws off-ramp their tokens. But they’ve been ‘suspended’ since March 2024 due to data protection. If I see the orbs again, it’ll be my cue to go long WLD.

Bitcoin in-profit holders vs in-loss is getting pretty close to flipping more in-loss. When this happens we tend to go to "deep value".

- Rates are not being cut

My take:
While we can be excited for a short term rally, patience is key. Too many holders underwater are looking to get out around 85k. Hold steady or get out at minimal loss. I'm a buyer 50k and below.

But underneath the noise, the structure is sound “There’s really not much risk of him getting liquidated until things get way worse” Mike is watching for that exact moment as “a bottom indicator”

I'd be good with crypto being a niche.
Small and quiet enough that regulators leave us alone. We use our privacy-focused, self-sovereign, borderless infra in peace.
But crypto prices pump by attracting new buyers. That ends in speculative mania followed by a crash.
Then regulators step in. Either with genuine concern to protect people or just to show they're doing something.
We probably passed the point of no return already.
